Saw Ponder out on the field last night. Saved the game from being a complete and utter failure (though it still mostly was just that). I fear, knowing coach Frazier, he only did it because the game was hopeless at that point anyway, and not because he realized McNabb sucks and Ponder is the future. That said, he did say they were going to discuss who would be starting next week, so we may very well see Ponder's first NFL start against the soon-to-be 7-0 Packers. Pretty excited about that, even if we lose. Otherwise, I notice your Bengals are like 4-2 or something? What the eff? I thought they were supposed to be terrible! Andy Dalton is looking pretty good, even though he's an ugly fucker, and that AJ Green aint no schmuck either. Good to see them back on their feet, they were one of my favorite non-Vikings teams a few years back.

hello K! I see you've been away from Last.FM for...well nearly ten days - unusual for you! Hope life's treating you well; now, let's have a looky here...John Fahey, Julian Casablancas (STILL haven't heard "Phrazes..", must rectify), Skrillex (hmm mustapha listen), Local Natives... and lots of unfamiliar-to-pinkie music to be checking out! Take care man ;))

Lol, so much for "quick". Sorry, I never check this thing! But that all depends on what you mean by "epic". Are we talking classical epic? Or symphonic metal epic? Or stupid awesome hip-hop epic? I NEED MOAR CONTEXT, KALEB! :P Also, long time no see! How's it going, man? I saw you guys got your win last week. Hope you'll get another one tonight! :D

Wish I could say the same for my Vikings. I could just say it was because the Chargers are hardcore, but the Vikes really just played poorly. First half, we looked pretty decent, but the second half was just painful. No offense to speak of, and the defense got tired pretty quickly. Le sigh. And fuck yeah, Skrillex!

Sure. I'm getting ready to eat dinner, but I'll PM you the low-down when I return. It'll be on TS because the PM system here sucks. :P

Oh, no, it was just the once. It's just been this big long saga with this guy that I was briefly involved with. I'm done with him now, though, finally. He was nothing but poison and drama and bleh. I'd rather be alone than be involved with a crazy fuck like him. I know that sounds mean, but this guy's got some serious issues.

I adore Simon & Garfunkel. <3 "The Boxer" is perhaps my favorite song of all time by any artist. And which comments? Are you talking about the GL&B Let It Out or the General Let It Out?

Hey man, long time no shout. I was bored at work today, so I brought out my iPod and read some short stories. First was called "The Philosophy of Despair" and I can't remember the author's name! It was pretty interesting. Fascinating look at the thoughts that go behind being a rather un-happy individual. Kinda passed that stage a while ago, but I think anyone who thinks too much will fall in to that pit at some point. Better sooner than later right? The second was by Vonnegut, called "2 B R 0 2 B" (the 0 being pronounced "naught"). If you haven't read it, it's about a world where all diseases (including aging) have been cured, and you have to volunteer to die. I quite liked it. Kinda hard to say anything about it without spoiling it, though. Just some light reading, yes, but it may have gotten me interested in reading more. Might finally finish Moby Dick.

An intelleck-tual conversation? With me? Erm...lol How are you, man? I've dropped by once or twice to have a gander at your latest plays, but forgot to be sociable at the same time..! You're my oldest online buddy you know :)) I'm not around so much on Last.FM of late, although quite a few of my plays still appear thanks to the magic of the thing we call "Scrobble"! Good to hear from you; hope all's well in Ohio ;))

It really is. It's hard to explain, but his voice is like high and deep at the same time. I dunno, it's almost operatic in a way. But yeah...gripping. Gripping is a good word. x) And yeah, I like how his songs have more meaning than your typical pop drivel. I mean, sure you have your every day preteen silly drama and puppy love, but then he also has songs like "Purple Sky" and "Stars" that make you think that if a thirteen year old can get why, when why can't everyone? He's definitely an intriguing artist.

God, I so wish that this was Facebook so I could have "liked" that last shout you left me. :D Don't try to fight it, just come to my side slowly with your hands where I can see them. ;) Seriously, though, the kid's awesome, right?!

I love that kid's voice, man. For a thirteen year old kid, he's got a maturity and depth that J Biebz STILL hasn't developed. His album that just dropped yesterday is really good, and I can't wait to see what he does as he gets older. What? You didn't believe me when I said I listen to everything? :P

Public enemy number one, right here. ;) Fun fact: I almost typo'd that as "pubic enemy". That would have been awkward.

I actually have a Defiance, Ohio song in my library that somebody else recommended to me a couple of years ago. It's...okay. Nothing spectacular, tbh. :P Man, I do love me some Miles. And Coltrane. Have you heard any of the first Miles Davis Quintet albums? Possibly the greatest jazz ensemble ever assembled: Miles on trumpet, Coltrane on sax, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and Philly Joe Jones on drums. They only released six albums, and four of them are from the same sessions: Miles: The New Miles Davis Quintet; Relaxin', Steamin', Workin', & Cookin' with the Miles Davis Quintet (all four from the same session), and 'Round About Midnight. If you don't have any of these albums (especially the four _____in' albums), you should definitely obtain them. So so so good.

Hey, sorry I've been MIA again. As you can probably tell, I'm not too good at keeping up over the Internet, and it's been...well, a freaking insane weekend. Ahahaha. So I checked out Andrew Jackson Jihad, and I dug it, man. It's different...and I like different. ;) I see you've been hitting up some Miles Davis here recently; that's what's up. I consider him like the Beethoven of jazz musicians, man. Plus the fact that he launched the careers of so many of my other favorite jazz artists just makes him that much more awesome. Miles rules.

Eminem has always been a little hit-and-miss with me, but he definitely hit with that EP. His flow is so sick when he's on top of his game; he's definitely one of the best, if not the most consistent. As for Andrew Jackson Jihad, I am preparing to obtain one of their albums. I must know, however: Which album should I obtain first?

Well, I'd say that roughly 50% of the music on my computer now was ripped off of friends' computers at college using the Mojo software. I personally own almost 200 CDs, and my parents probably own another 150 between them, so that's probably 75% all together. I'd say about 15% of the rest is from CDs from the library, and the last 10% was obtained in *looks around for the RIAA*...other ways. >_> I'm up to 14,486 songs all together now. :P Anyway, a recommendation? Bad Meets Evil's new EP, Hell: The Sequel. Shit is dope.

Haha, mine's 39 days. I got as far as the "E" artists before finally losing interest and giving up, lmao. I made it further than I thought I would, tbh. :P Actually, it was mostly the realization that my library is so disorganized that made me stop. I need to arrange artists by last name and albums by year, which is going to take forever. But I will get through it...eventually. haha. I'm a little OCD when it comes to my music collection, both physical and digital. :x And thank you, sir. Your taste is quite amazing, as well. I'd love to trade recommendations sometime! :)

Well, I was trying to listen to my iTunes library all the way through, and I have about four times as many Beatles songs as any other artist, so they're kinda dominating my charts, atm. Haha. But yeah, The Beatles are definitely my favorite band ever. I'm okay with them being so far ahead. :P But variety is definitely the spice of life, and that's never more true than with music. I listen to pretty much all kinds of music, and I hope that my charts reflect that like yours do. :)

New tunage is always good. I'm actually trying to organize my iTunes right now since I've just been getting all kinds of shit and just adding it without making the tags were right and everything, and it's so hard to resist the urge to add more until I'm done! But I must; my library is a mess. Haha. And I dig the charts, man. Very eclectic. Eclectic = good. Very, very good. :D

Heyyyyy! Sorry I never check this thing, so I just now got all of those shouts. :P Super compatibility, ftw! Sorry I've been kind of MIA on TS, too; I've kinda just been letting the comments pile up there. >_> I'm getting bored of that place again; I suppose it's almost time for another one of my hiatuses. Haha. How's Mr. Kaleb doing these days?

They're wonderful singles to a brilliant album. I may need to remind myself of that track, but so far from what I've heard from his EPs, I've enjoyed it (although it took me a while for it to grow on me). When I first heard Limit To Your Love, I was really unsure about what to think of it. I'm definitely pleased I like the music as much as I do :)

I'm hooked. I've been playing James Blake's album for a while now (got it a few days ago) and it gets better with every listen, in my opinion. It's different from his early EPs (which sound a bit like Mount Kimbie) as the album has a soulful minimalist sound and his vocals work wonders. c:

Cool, cool. I've never read Fahrenheit 451, but I see it mentioned in a lot of places. What's that about? I'll probably wiki it before you get a chance to tell me, so feel free to not bother. I remember reading (at least most of) Of Mice and Men in, like, the 11th grade. It was pretty good, not a personal favorite or anything, but good. Another book I read that year that I really liked was To Kill a Mockingbird. I don't know for sure if I liked reading the book, or if I just liked all the different places I read it. I remember reading it from a campsite overlooking a waterfall, then in a hotel elevator during my sister's college graduation. I literally just sat in the elevator and read a book. Fun times.

Honestly? My life is on the edge of a precipice right now - battle of attrition with heartless landlord, relationship in big trouble (still love her/always will), and other stuff I won't even bother putting in print...but, hey, this is Last.FM, and there's always a song to save me from the abyss ;))

Enjoy "Fahrenheit 451"? I read it one night years ago...seem to remember really enjoying it - they made a film of it in the...late 1960s I think. Ahh well, have a good one m' friend.
