i'm glad you enjoyed what you heard. :) I'm friends with the vocalist of Radio Wire Empire on last.fm - he's a pretty nice chap. I love Mazzy Starr and Burial, and if Gogol Bordello doesn't make somebody smile, then they just have a heart of stone 8] also i've heard that justin / slipknot mashup before, and it never fails to make me laugh haha :) thanks

Hey, yeah I love Burial, and "Push th' Little Daisies" from Ween is on my "top tracks"! I saw Ween in 1996 with Royal Trux - what a gig that was! But I'll have a listen to Destroyer, so cheers, man. As I say, I'm always getting ideas just eavesdropping on your playlists!!!

I guess it does seem that way from the list there.. but that's just my old-school list I s'pose! But yeah, The Rapture - I got both their albums, Radio4 (ok, but very derivative), Les Savy Fav I must check out more, God there's so much good stuff over there...A.R.E. Weapons, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (over-hyped but I like 'em), Liars I think are amAZing..the list goes on. Is there anything new to you lately that you'd recommend?

Oh, er lemme think! Sometimes I just have a look at friends' libraries or just kinda eavesdrop if you know what I mean, and new music appears out of the ether!! But you've turned me on to some cool stuff before; how about something American...something from NYC perhaps? That's narrowed things down!!! Some of my favourite music of all time is from there, from The Velvets, New York Dolls, Television, Patti Smith, Talking Heads & the mighty Sonic Youth, to more recently LCD Soundsystem and some of the New Breed..The Strokes of course! Anything you recommend I'll have a listen anyway - you've got such eclectic taste. When I was around your age I was really into my music; it meant everything to me..but you have a much wider musical vocabulary, I think, than I did...and the Internet is responsible for that more than anything else I'd say.

Wow! I took a coupla my girlfriend's mum's sleeping pills and crashed for like 12 hours!! Erm, you probably knew plenty about Can anyway, but if you want to grab anything, esp. "Tago Mago", I can do the usual and leave you a message in yr inbox - jus say da word m8! (If I just want to hear something, I often find it on "We7" or "Hype Machine").

One last thing before I crash, mate (It's 07:51a.m. here and I've been up all night!) - I must recommend an album called "Tago Mago" by Can. You probably know about them; they're a German group, formed in the 1970s. I just listened to "Halleluwah" from that album, and it is just phenomenal...metronomic drumming, great vocals from Damo Suzuki..if you only hear one track by them make it that one!!!

Yeah, man - good idea ;) My "about me" is minimal to say the least right now, but one day I'm sure I'll become inspired and put some new stuff up there!!

psh, once those animals go hipster on me it will never be the same. They'll end up not wanting to dance cuz it's to "mainstream" and then end up bringing me a pack of American Spirits cigarettes instead of my coca cola. Such a blasphemy!!!

The fact that you know Mckinley High is 2 hours away is impressive, Almost as impressive as penguins and polar bears living with me in NY, however im not entirely sure if they could handle how fast pace NY is. Plus they'll probably end up becoming Hipsters and want to live in Brooklyn.
