    Top albums of 2010

    21. Sister Sin-True Sound Of The Underground

First of the 4 Swedish bands on this list. Sister Sin brought out a cool 2010 effort with the name of "True Sound Of The Underground". Sweet and heavy album with tons of attitude.

    Standout Tracks:

Outrage, Sound Of The Underground, 24/7

    20. Black Veil Brides-We Stitch These Wounds

While post hardcore isn't exactly my favourite genre, I genuinely enjoyed Black Veil Brides debut album "We stitch these wounds". The band get's lot of shit thrown at them, mostly because of their over the top emo/gothic looks, but the music is actually pretty good. They are somewhat also influenced by straightforward Hard Rock which can be seen on some of the kickass guitar playing.

    Standout Tracks:

Knives And Pens, The Mortician's Daughter, Sweet Blasphemy

    19. Crazy Lixx-New Religion

Swedish hair metallers brought out a good album. The clear 80's rock influence is there and fans of that era of Rock N' Roll will certainly enjoy Crazy Lixx's effort. Still they can't challenge theire Swedish rock brothers Hardcore Superstar and Crashdiet, but nonentheless they made an album that clearly belongs to top this list.

    Standout Tracks:

Lock Up Your Daughter, My Medicine (R.O.C.K), Blame It On Love

    18. Methods Of Mayhem-A Public Disservice Annoucement

What a positive suprise! The Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee's Methods Of Mayhem brought out a suprisingly versatile record featuring influences from different genres including rock, pop punk, nu-metal and electro. Truly a fun ride throughout. And we need to hear Back To Before at night clubs! What a great song.

    Standout Tracks:

Back To Before, Louder, All I Wanna Do

    17. Deadmau5-4x4=12

Deadmau5'es new album rules. The only problem is the length of some of the tracks, they get a bit repeative after a while, but in the end of the day the album is just pure win. Put your party mode on and enjoy.

    Standout Tracks:

Raise Your Weapon, Some Chords, Bad Selection

    16. Shylock-Rockbuster

A nice suprise find! Never heard from this band before until I listened the Rockbuster album and I must say that the german rockers brought out a cool melodic hard rock album with some catchy tunes. Maybe they are the ones taking Scorpions place after their retirement? Who knows, at least this album indicates good things.

    Standout Tracks:

    Rumours, Dawn, Sunshine vs. Rain

    15. Murderdolls-Women And Children Last

Just pure adrenaline throughout. No stops, just Murderdolls brand of dark twisted punky rock n' roll. If you need your energy charge of the day, just put on "Women and Children last" and jam out. Cool album.

    Standout Tracks:

Summertime Suicide, Nowhere, Blood Stained Valentine

    14. Shooter Jennings & Hierophant-Black Ribbons

Well not at all what I was expecting from Shooter Jennings, but the album suprised positively. The album sound draws influences all the way from industrial to country, so it's somewhat of an unique blend of great music. "Black Ribbons" is a consept album, featuring Stephen King as the narrator and the story works really well with the sound of the music. Great album all around and the title track might just be one of the best tracks made this year.

    Standout Tracks:

Black Ribbons, Triskaidekaphobia, All Of This Could Have Been Yours

    13. Stone Sour-Audio Secrecy

Stone Sour made a great album. Standout are clearly the ballads which are all top notch. The reason why this album didn't make higher on the list is due to the fact that the rockers are clearly overshadowed by the ballads so they seem a bit bland on the contrast. That makes the album a bit unstable. But you can't deny the fine quality of this release so the place number #13 is justifiable.

    Standout Tracks:

    Dying, Pieces, Threadbare

    12. Hadouken!-For The Masses

Great & Fun album from start to finish! Hadouken's energy is great and the album really pumps you up. "For the masses" is best used with your favourite brand of alcohol and good quality stereo system.

    Standout Tracks:

Mic Check, M.A.D, Turn The Lights Out

    11. Buckcherry-Reckless Sons [EP]

Buckcherry's acoustic EP "Reckless Sons" was released as a bonus disc on the deluxe edition of their new album "All Night Long". And the suprise was there when the bonus EP actually was way better than the actual album. Great acoustic performances of great songs. Quality release!

    Standout Tracks:

Fire Off Your Guns, Grace, My Friend

    10. Slash-Slash

Slash delivered. Really cool rock n' roll album which also shows that Slash has retrieved some of his inspiration by bringing out new style on some of the tracks, most notably in the metal sounding "Nothing To Say".

    Standout Tracks:

Beautiful Dangereous, Gotten, Nothing To Say

    9. Danko Jones-Below The Belt

The album just rocks. There isn't any more to add, just full on high energy catchy fun Hard Rock. A pleasure to listen and to rock out.

    Standout Tracks:

Full Of Regrets, I Think Bad Toughts, Active Volcanoes

    8. Dirty Skirty-Long Live Rock N' Roll

A great flawless debut album. They are sleazy, fun and most imporantly they rock! Any rock fan should take a moment to check this guys from Myspace. The third best debut album from 2010.

    Standout Tracks:

Ride, King Sleaze, Spill Your Heart Out

    7. The Damned Things-Ironiclast

A super group featuring members from Anthrax, Fall Out Boy and Everytime I Die. And together they make a great rock album, which beats anything they have ever done with their "number one" bands. Hope they stay together to produce more kickass material.

    Standout Tracks:

    We've Got a Situation Here,
A Great Reckoning, Friday Night (Going Down In Flames)

    6. Crashdiet-Generation Wild

With the new great frontman Simon Cruz they delivered "Generation Wild", all around fantastic Hard Rock album. It just might be the best album from these Swedish rockers to date.

    Standout Tracks:

    Generation Wild, Chemical, Save Her

    5. Pendulum-Immersion

I really wasn't that into Pendulum but I figured i'd give the new album a chance. And see what happend, the album made me a fan so it clearly deserves it's place on the top 5. Not a bad track on the album, just full of pure slamming victory. Great album.

    Standout Tracks:

The Island pt.2, The Vulture, Watercolour

    4. Alter Bridge-AB3

At first listen I felt a bit underwhelmed but since the second spin off I was hooked. Alter Bridge didn't dissapoint and they delivered once again a great album. Kennedy's vocals & lyrics and the music are top notch and the songs are just fantastic. "Ghost Of The Days Gone By" is one of the best songs released this year.

    Standout Tracks:

Ghost Of The Days Gone By, Fallout, Wonderful Life

    3. Hardcore Superstar-Split Your Lip

The Swedish street metal superstars take the bronze place of 2010. "Split Your Lip" brings the bands sound a bit closer to the sound on their selftitled album and that's a huge plus. Hardcore Superstar's last album "Beg For It" was the 6th best album of 2009 so they have taken a step forward with this newest album. "Split Your Lip" is quaranteet Hardcore Superstar quality, just pure class Hard Rock allaround.

    Standout Tracks:

What Did I Do, Sadistic Girls, Here Comes That Sick Bitch

    2. Jettblack-Get Your Hand Dirty

Ladies and gentlemen, the debut album of the year and the second best album of 2010. Flawless rock n' roll album, with full of attitude, great riffs and catchy songs. I'm happy to be suprised with bands like these, because they are the ones keeping the true rock spirit alive.

    Standout Tracks:

Two Hot Girls, Get Your Hands Dirty, When It Comes To Lovin'

    1. Avenged Sevenfold-Nightmare

At the end of the day choosing the best album from 2010 was pretty much a no brainer. Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare is just a great ride fullfilled with top quality musicanship and most importantly emotion caused by the death of their drummer. The pain of losing your best friend really shows on the album and the feelings are genuine, not over the top or anything like that. Listening to end of "Fiction" was one of the most memorable musical moments of 2010. Nightmare is A7X's best album to date and clearly by a mile the best album of 2010.

    Standout Tracks:

Fiction, Buried Alive, So Far Away

  • My 15 favourite albums of 2009

    Dic 30 2009, 9:39

    15. Lynyrd Skynyrd-God & Guns

Number 15 on this list are the legendary southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd with their new album "God & Guns". The southern influence is still there most clearly on the tracks like "Southern Ways" and "Simple Life", yet they have brought more hardrock to the table with Whitesnake-esque "Still Unbroken" and guitar virtuoso John 5's rocker "Floyd". Both very good tracks. Also the ballads on this one are really really good, propably my favourites. "Unwrite That Song" and "Gifted Hands" both rule. Lots of good albums were left out of this list, so can't say a bad thing about this years music releases.

    Favourite of the album:

    Unwrite That Song

Other ass kickers; Still Unbroken , Floyd , Gifted Hands

    14. Eminem-Relapse

The summer album of '09. Used to blast this one to the brink of boredom but when listening back, it's a kickass album. Not much of a rap fan, but this one hit the home at first listen. Album is tight from start to finish but favourite part must be the end with a golden straight of great tracks such as "Deja Vu", "Beautiful", "Crack A Bottle" and "Underground". The new tracks on "Relapse:Refill" promises that incoming Relapse2 will also be most propably a nice continution to this great rappers carreer. Can't wait for it.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Beautiful

Other ass kickers; Deja Vu , Insane , Underground

    13. Enter Shikari-Common Dreads

This one's a suprise on the list. Started listening more to this band after seeing them live with The Prodigy and frankly this guys are extremely refreshing. Theyr mix of both rock and dance hardcore is unique and "Common Dreads" is actually a really good album. Harder songs like "Solidarity", "Juggernauts", "Zzzonked" are nicely mixed with more poppier stuff like "No Sleep Tonight" and "Gap In The Fence". This balances the album nicely and what makes this one great is also that this one is different than Shikaris debut "Take It To The Skies". Showing new sides is always refreshing. Looking forward of hearing more stuff from these guys. Also theyr certainly nice fellas when met them. Hard Jagermeister drinkers, or so is said.

    Favourite song on the album:

    The Jester

Other ass kickers; Zzzonked , No Sleep Tonight , Gap In The Fence

    12. Creed-Full Circle

A bit of a suprise too. Didn't think I would enjoy the new Creed album as much as I did, they delivered a nice one. Very Creedish mix of hardrockers and ballads, and ones again for Creed the ballads are bit better. Especially songs like "Rain", "Away In Silence", "Time" and "Good Fight" kickass. While the ballads might be better the rockers ain't too shabby either. "Bread Of Shame" and "Fear" rival with the albums bests. All around a good album and place number #12 on this list is deserved.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Rain

Other ass kickers; Bread Of Shame , Away In Silence , Time

    11. W.A.S.P.-Babylon

Wow, this one's feel like a time travel to the 80's. W.A.S.P isn't exactly reinventing the wheel on this album. The opener "Crazy" sounds kind of like "Wild Child part 2", while the slower number "Into The Fire" is a clear rehass of "Sleeping In The Fire". but this doesn't matter. They rely on the known good methods of WASP's kind of rock and the final product is a fun metal album, their best since the 1992's "The Crimsom Idol". Other than "Crazy" and "Into The Fire" the songs "Live To Die Another Die", "Babylon's Burning" and "Godless Run" are the highlights. This album is most of all a good way of showing that these old bastards can still hold up with a competition against younger rockers. And I must say the lead guitar playing on this album is pretty damn neat and Blackie sounds F.I.N.E.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Babylon's Burning

Other ass kickers; Into The Fire , Crazy , Live To Die Another Day

    10. Pearl Jam-Backspacer

The grunge is gone and replaced with a dose of staightup rock attitude. Not the kind of album I was waiting for, but this one's a grower that bring it just to the top 10. The rock start of "Gonna See My Friend", "Got Some" and "The Fixer" get's you in the PJ mood, when the slower numbers gather some balance and raises the quality of the album. Without songs like "Just Breathe", "Speed Of Sound" and "The End" this one would fall short, but luckily theese songs lift this one easily to the "favourite albums of the year list". Good album, but loses to another 90's grunge giant Alice In Chains when comparing theyr 2009 efforts.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Just Breathe

Other ass kickers; The Fixer , Speed Of Sound , The End

    9. Atreyu-Congregation of the Damned

Atreyu promised that the new album would sound a mix between the older metalcore material and newer hardrock sound and they doesn't fail at delivering the mix. Shame it's not as great as I imagined it would be, but all in all it's a good album. At first listen felt a little underwhelming but the album's a grower and placed itself eventually in my top 10 favs. Album is full of good songs with the most memorable being the opener "Stop! Before It's Too Late And We've Destoroyed It All", great rockers "Bleeding Is A Luxury", "Black Days Begin", "Storm To Pass", "Gallows" and epics "Coffin Nails", "So Wrong", "You Were The King, Now You're Unconscious " The latter has the best intro i've heard in a long time.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Coffin Nails

Other ass kickers; Bleeding Is A Luxury , You Were The King, Now You're Unconscious , Storm To Pass

    8. The Wildhearts-Chutzpah!

The Wildhearts is know of theyr verstaile approach to rock music as they bring out material that can sound either metallica or the beatles or anything between. Chutzpah! carries out that legacy and with a great success. Both the rockers and popsongs are there side by side and they make this album interesting and verstaile. Usually i'd rank album like this near the medal places, but the problem with Chutzpah! is that the rockers are so awesome that the more poppier songs seem bland. The album doesn't flow as good when there's great songs like "The Jackson Whites", "Plastic Jebus", "John Of Violence", "Tim Smith", "Chutzpah!" and "only" good track such as "You Are The Proof That Not All Women Are Insane" or "Mazel Tov Coctail". You can't seem to get a good hold of the album because it's a bit of rollercoaster. Still seems weird to say something bad of this album, because the "bland" poprock songs are still undoubtetly good they just seem bland when placed with such a great hard rockers. Fine album still and "The Jackson Whites" just might be the best rock track of 2009.

    Favourite song of the album:

    The Jackson Whites

Other ass kickers; Tim Smith , Chutzpah! , Plastic Jebus

    7. Vains of Jenna-The Art of Telling Lies

The americalized swedes bring out a damn fine rock n' roll album. The country men Hardcore Superstar did a bit better, but not much and that alone tells that this album rules. Album is full of sleaze rock spirit and there isn't a bad song in sight. For the album favourites I would rise the tracks "Everybody loves you when your dead", "Mind Pollution", a beautiful slower number "Paper Heart", "Get It On", "Enemy In Me" and the funky "I Don't Care". Infact it's a bit hard to pick favourites because the album is so solid all around. Good stuff.

    Favourite song of the album:

    I Don't Care

Other ass kickers; Paper Heart , Get It On , Mind Pollution

    6. Hardcore Superstar-Beg For It

Hardcore Superstar doesn't fail. One's again they provide a great hardrock record full of raw energy and having even more metal in theyr sound. They are now days leaning more and more towards the Slave To Grind N' Subhuman Race-era Skid Row sound and that ain't a bad road to take. At first few listens didn't like "Beg For It" as much as the past two HCSS efforts but when listening more the album rivals equally against the great "Dreamin' In The Casket". What prevents this album rising straight to the top is that after the awesome start (This Worm's For Ennio->Hope For A Normal Life) the album loses a bit of the intensity and the few next songs ain't so memorable so the album doesn't flow as solidly as you wish it would be. Anyway it's a great album and should be heard by every rock fan.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Into Debauchery

Other ass kickers; Beg For It , Shades Of Grey, Hope For A Normal Life

    5. The Prodigy-Invaders Must Die

Started getting more into dance and electronic music this year and The Prodigy is the one to thanks. "Invaders Must Die" is true ass kicker full of energy. While the todays rock albums tend to lean on having both fast and slower songs on the album, Invaders Must Die is just straight through energy blast with heavy beats. No slow shit just going apeshit with the songs like "Invaders Must Die", "Take Me To The Hospital", "Warrior's Dance", "Run With The Wolves" and "Piranha". FUN! Awesome live band, kickass album and deserves the number #5 spot on this list.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Take Me to the Hospital

Other ass kickers; Warrior's Dance , Invaders Must Die , Run With The Wolves

    4. Cavo-Bright Nights Dark Days

A bit suprised that this album went so high on my this years favourite albums list. Disliked the album upon first listen, but slowly the Cavos simple, yet efficient, recipe started working on me. Catchy melodies, big choruses, radio friendly out put is Cavo's way to go and it works very well. While they sometimes remind me of bands like 3 Doors Down, they still have something unique that makes them easy to recognize. "Dark Days Bright Nights" is a good album throughout and can't be dismissed from the list because of good set of songs like "Champange", "Crash", "Let It Go", Cry Wolf", "Blame" and "We All Fall Down"

    Favourite song of the album:

    Blame

Other ass kickers; Champange , Crash , We All Fall Down

    3. Papa Roach-Metamorphosis

Very solid rock blast from Papa Roach. No bad tracks on this effort. Good mix of rockers and slower songs, that seems to be todays rock scenes principal. Highlights for me are the headtearing opener "Change Or Die", sexy hardrocker "I Almost Told You That I Loved You", asskickin' "Lifeline", beautiful "Carry me" and the album closer "State Of Emergency". Rockers overshadow the slower material on this one too, but the mix is more stable than for example on The Wildhearts album. Very good album.

    Favourite song of the album:

I Almost Told You That I Loved You

Other ass kickers; Change Or Die , Lifeline , Carry Me

    2. Burn Halo-Burn Halo

James Hart is back! And what a kickass hardrock album. Hart is one of the most underrated singers/musicians in my book and this album just proves it more. Rockers "Dirty Little Girl", "Anejo", "Our House" are the albums best part, but the slower tracks are also very nice, yet sometimes feel a bit cliché. But who cares? "Too Late To Tell You Now", "Saloon Song", "Falling Faster", "Back To The Start" are great. Very solid album with no bad songs and loads of good stuff. Would have been my favourite of the year, but Alice In Chains just did this solid album with a bit more depth. This is hands down the best debut album of the year

    Favourite song of the album:

    Dirty Little Girl

Other ass kickers; Anejo , Our House , Falling Faster

    1. Alice in Chains-Black Gives Way to Blue

What makes the Alice In Chainses comeback album this years best is simply the fact that's it's not too easy. While you can listen to, for example, Burn Halo, Papa Roach and Hardcore Superstar everyday they just don't have the same depth and they don't hold a candel to the feeling and atmoshmere of this album. When being in the right mood this album hits home good. Slower songs like "Your Decision", "Private Hell", "Black Gives Way To Blue" are fine examples of the great atmoshmere this album brings. The dark rock material is also there and it doesn't fail you; "Check My Brain", "Last Of My Kind", "A Looking In View", "Acid Bubble" are all kickass tracks. Hell, every track in this album is good. Glad to see Alice In Chains back and with such a great record.

    Favourite song of the album:

    Black Gives Way to Blue

Other ass kickers; Your Decision , Check My Brain , Private Hell

  • The most overrated rock songs

    Gen 12 2009, 16:27

Here are some of the most overrated crappy rock songs ever released. It's just amazing that these songs got so big as they are.

    The Final Countdown (Europe)

Man, this just plain sucks. Cheesy synths, cheesy vocals, cheesy 80's style. Songs like this are what makes 80's laughable decade in music. The Final Countdown album is fairly OK but this song... Damn it just sucks.

    Poison (Alice Cooper)

Trash is good album, but I just can't get over the fact that this is the hit from that album. Hell Is Living Without You, Bed Of Nails, House Of Fire all shit over this crap. Cheesy beyond imagination and Coopers voice makes me nauseus. Boring.

    Nothing Else Matters (Metallica)

This is the biggests song from Metallica? Damn it just sucks. I can't beleive this boring, wheeping little piece of shit ballad is bigger than the great Fade to Black or even Mama Said. Sad to see this song so huge, should have been forgotten long ago.

Knockin' on Heavens Door (Guns N' Roses)

As a huge GN'R fan that I am I still must ask... How can anyone think this is a good cover? The studio version is just overblown to pieces and lost all the magic that Bob Dylan had built for it. What the fuck with a f****in phonecall? Damn guys you blew this one. I'd rather listen to My World. Thank god that it's fairly OK live song.

    Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)

OH NOES HE JUST DIDN'T SAY THIS?????? I said it. It's not the best song ever made. Hell even Led Zeppelin has loads and loads of better songs. This ones just too long, boring, and simply nothing to go nuts about. Comfortably Numb, November Rain, Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming are all FAR superior tracks.

More "overrated to death" songs might be coming. When i need to burst my anger out again. Sucky songs.

  • Introducing my top bands- GUNS N' ROSES

    Mag 23 2008, 12:24

    Part 1.

First song i heard from them:

    Live and Let Die

I had just watched the bond film "Live And Let Die" and fell in love with the title song, Paul McCartneys Live And Let Die. My cousin had just taught me how to use Kazaa so I naturally downloaded the song and the version I got was the GN'R version. I liked it even more and rocked the hell out of it. I didn't check out the other GN'R material for a long time partly because my dad said that GN'R ain't nothing but a cover band. (I think he only had heard LALD and Knockin' On Heavens Door) :D O'how wrong he was.

The song that made me fell in love with them:

    Welcome to the Jungle

I saw the Welcome To The Jungles Live-Era video on TV and had my ass kicked in that second. Downloaded the track and listened it in repeat for couple days. I was hooked.

    Favourite song now:

    Paradise City

Just a great fuckin' rock 'n' roll track.

    Most disliked member:

    Matt Sorum

He has a few great moments (You Could Be Mine, Double Talkin' Jive..) but other than that his boring drumming was a huge down taker after Stevens great funky sound. Boring and mediocre would be the best thing to descripe Sorum. Plus he seems like an A- grade douche.

  • Top 20 songs by Guns N' Roses

    Feb 12 2008, 16:46

I'm gonna write up 20 best songs from my most listened bands. This is round one and let's start with Guns N' Fuckin' Roses.

    20. Patience

While sometimes the track gets little boring it definately has it moments. The song has to be listened in a certain mood to appreciate it's power. Great peacefull acoustic track to relax to. (And hit on girls) Thanks Izzy.

    19. One in a Million

The best song from 1988s EP Lies and only at 19th place! Has to tell something about the quality of GN'R songs... The song has got alot of shit thrown at it because some of the lyric choises. Some people don't seem to get the meaning behind Axls lyrics which sucks, cause this song really has something to say. Cool use of acoustic and electric guitar and great, very underrated solo by Slash. Cool track

    18. Civil War

Many may argue that this track should be higher but i don't think so. Eventhough the track is great it can't compete with some of the dirtyier AFD/Illusion material. A bit too long in my opinion. But in the end the great use of guitar and awesome lyrics make this track an essential top 20 song.

    17. Double Talkin' Jive

While this track lacks the final punch in the studio version, the live version is great. Sorums angry drumming, Slash's heavy and soft guitaring,Izzy's cool vocals and Axl's mean backup singing makes the song great. Pure energy.

    16. My Michelle

First track from 'Appetite For Destruction' to enter the top 20. It's a cool rock song with being the best remebered from the awesome headbangable (Is this even a wword?) switch from intro to main riff. Also has a fun singalong chorus and hey... Who can say no to a rock song about a girl whose daddy works in porno now that mommy's not around?

    15. Garden Of Eden

Only thing needed to descripe this track: It's a helluva lot of FUN. The track definately is a opinnion spiller. Some may think it is a boring filler on Use Your Illusion 1 while some may think it's one of the best Guns N' Roses tracks. I'm in the between but more leaned towards the best GN'R track. It's fast as hell and basically the most fun Guns N' Roses listening expirience. It fits perefectly with the more darked material and it's definately a light spot on UYI1. Fun song, fun video=Definately on the top 20.

    14. The Blues

First "new" track from the unreleased "Chinese Democracy" on this list. The song has changed alot since 2001... for the worse unfortunately. The song has alot of potential and it did meet it's best in 2002. If they have that version recorded and ready to go on the album, it might become one of the best Guns N' Roses tracks ever. But now when listening to the latest demo I feel a little dissapointed. The song still has the potential but I keep hoping to hear the 2002 version recorded. Thats why only 14# place. The song is a Elton John meets Guns N' Roses type of pianodriven ballad with some new, great highpitched vocals by Axl. Great lyrics and great track. Just guys... STOP ALTERING IT AND GET BACK ON THE ROOTS. It was a awesome track then, now it's just really good.

    13. Out Ta Get Me

You can't go wrong when the intro riff is as mean as it is in Out Ta Get Me. Blew my head off when i saw GN'R live. Great rocker witch definetely will make your adrenaline flow. Love it.

    12. Chinese Democracy

Another new track, now it's the titel track from the upcoming GN'R album. I remember hearing this track first time, it was a live version and I thought it was barely "OK". Didn't suck but wasn't the greatest either. The the demo version leaked and I was blown away. Unbelivible guitar intro and guitar work, great Axl vocals and a true rocker which was a missing link from the "New" Guns N' Roses. This song could easily be higher in the list but it's missing a final hook. The riff is great but a clear chorus or clear tempo changes could do miracles. Either way it's the new Welcome To The Jungle. Can't wait to hear this finished.

    11. It's So Easy

Great punkrock track written by Duff and West Arkeen. This song has a great attitude and the bass intro is unforgettable. The lyrics are ultra cool and it's just a cool track all around. It might not be the best song ever but it's perfect for Appetite. So fuckin' easy! Love the outro.

    10. Better

The best new track. The song is written by guitarist Robin Finck and while it's not the most complicated piece of music it certainly is a catchy one. And it blends a lots of different elements. The intro is a bit weird industrial kinda and I could do without it but when the actual song kicks in it seems to be really cool poprock track. During the choruses it's a bit heavyer but no one can expect what happens in the middle part. It turns a whole new page with insane Axl screams and nu-metal guitars. Finck does an awesome solo on this one and the outro is allmost Jazz-like. Axl has also once again written some awesome lyrics. Little shaky at times and I don't like some parts but in the end the track is noting but great.

    9. Nightrain

We have managed to get to the top 10. This place is reserved for a great rock n' roll track called Nightrain. While even better live this track truly is a great party rock song, with some cool guitar work. Especially I enjoy Bucketheads work on this track on 2002. The outro solo by Bucket is nothing but amazing! Great great track.

    8. Sweet Child o' Mine

Eventhough im a little fed up with this song and think it's a bit overrated I can't deny it's legendness. The track is timeless. Awesome soft intro, Awesome solo, awesome singin, awesome bass/drum combo, awesome song. A bit overrated but clearly in the top 20.

    7. Rocket Queen

It's time to start jamming! Rocket Queen is a awesome funky rock song which truly brings out the best from the rythm group. Adler is great on drums and so is McKagan on bass. Slashs' riffs are dancable and fun, and Axl slashes out some cool lyrics. The first part of the song is great fun down-to-earth rock while the outro is more serious but it really gives more depth to the song. Great ender to a great album.

    6. Estranged

There was a time when this was my favourite Guns N' Roses track. Now days I have overplayed it a bit so it has lost some of it magic. It's not as lasting as November Rain is but still it's a masterpiece. The guitarwork on this one is outstanding and the ending part is a piece of musical history. One of Guns N' Roses best moments. One of Slashes finest moments.

    5. Mr.Brownstone

Some may say that this track shouldn't be this high on the list but I absolutely love this one. It's a sort and sweet rock track with some funky action. I love the rythm work and especially guitaring on this one. Izzy is on fire in rythm guitar. This one allways gets me moving and good mood. Definately a top 5 track.

    4. You Could Be Mine

The best from Use Your Illusion 2. Heavy, ultra enrgetic rock track. While I usually hate Matt Sorums work, I must admit that on this track the man shines. And so does the rest of the band. Axl sounds awesomely mean, Slash delivers without a problem, Duff brings out some rockin' bass lines and hey it's Izzys song. Never get tired on this one.

    3. November Rain

The best from Use Your Illusion 1. A true epic masterpiece by Axl Rose. The song is full of heart, soul and passion and that can be heard especially during Slashs solos. Axl's voice is better than ever (Only One In A Millions vocals beat this one). The song is a legend and deserves to be ateleast on the top 5. Now the place number 3#

    2. Welcome to the Jungle

This song made me love GN'R. The studio version lacks a bit but it is made up on the live versions. On live the song has enormous ammounts of passion and energy. Axl is always vicious and make the song a true rock masterpice. A great introduction track to the world of GN'R.

    1. Paradise City

And the first place we have the song that defines Guns N' Roses. The song doesn't have much flaws. Cool intro to build up hype, great main riff, great singing, awesome singalong chorus witch will be stucked in your head forever and adrenalineblast outro with some wicked guitar work by Slash. Truly a great, legendary rock song which always nods up your mood. Love this, love the band.
