Top 5 albums of 2007

Man these ones are hard, i wonder if it will get easier for the last two...

#5 All the Lost Souls - James Blunt

I find myself writing about James Blunt twice in a row. Follow up to Back to Bedlam and while very good not quite up to the standards of the debut album. Favorite tracks here are Same Mistake, I Really Want You, Annie and 1973 in approximately that order.

#4 Future Sex / LoveSounds - Justin Timberlake

There are a few i mentioned having missing out last year that make it to this one for some reason. They must have been released towards the end of the 2006. I love Summer Love from this record as well as SexyBack, What Goes Around... / ...Comes Around and My Love (with T.I. & Timbaland).

#3 On a Clear Night - Missy Higgins

Missy gets higher mention here, not nessacarily because this album is better than The Sound Of White, more i think because she has less compitition. Peachy is the stand out track here and Steer is quite good too.

#2 Infinity On High - Fall Out Boy

I wasn't quite sure what to make of Fall Out Boy when i first heard them, i finally decided i liked them and this album is a good one. The Take Over, The Break's Over is a great track as are Thnks fr th Mmrs and This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race.

#1 Young Modern - Silverchair

Silverchair rise to the top again, and rightly so. This is a fantastic album full of catchy tunes. Highlights include If You Keep Losing Sleep, Mind Reader, Insomnia, Low, Straight Lines and Young Modern Station.

Unfortunately, P!nk misses out again with I'm Not Dead. Life in Cartoon Motion by Mika, Sneaky Sound System by Sneaky Sound System, Exile On Mainstream by Matchbox Twenty and Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace all have to miss out too unfortunately.

Nothing jumps out here as song of the year, so i guess Straight Lines or Say It Right by Nelly Furtado or The Pretender by Foo Fighters are the choices.
