A day late this week! Mainly because I spent yesterday working on a Shakespeare adaptation (Richard II). This week's artist is Frank Turner.
The other day Nick was playing him (not literally, obviously) in the form room and he grabbed me right away. He's got a good old traditional English voice; apparently he went to Eton but was born in Bahrain. Odd combination, but it seems to work.
I got Sleep Is For the Week and it's mostly heavily acoustic guitar driven, which is cool. I don't really have that much to say about him really; nothing intelligent anyway. At times he sounds a bit like an English The Decemberists, but less sea-faring.
