I have some friends helping me find a place, it will be outside of Philadelphia area. I could see the Rocky statue! I'm from the west coast, so it's quite a bit away. It's getting so crowded where I live, I want to be somewhere more quiet (it will be cheaper there also). I wouldn't say I've traveled a lot, Japan and Canada for other countries. I've been to Las Vegas, Mississippi, and Michigan for states (I have relatives in those places). Do you have a new place lined up?

This year things are starting to get better. I have faith that it will be more ups than downs from now on. Just need to relax a little more, chamomile tea and deep breathing help! My biggest plan is to move in about a year (hopefully). It will be a big move too because I plan to go across country. Whenever I do go, it will give me a chance to explore the country more. Moving can be a pain, but I'll look at it like an adventure. Hope you had a good week!

No worries, I sometimes only check my email once a week or so. The worst thing that happened was having two family members in the hospital around the holidays. This was in a two week time span. Needless to say, I didn't really celebrate Christmas or New Years. Things are calming down, and everyone is better now. Fast and Furious you say- I've only watched the first one,5 and 6. I'm planning on watching the Tokyo one soon. If you are interested in Japanese culture may I suggest a youtube channel for you?TheJapanChannelDcom on youtube is a guy from Austraiia who lives in Japan. He makes videos for English speaking viewers who want to learn about Japan, not just the usual tourist subjects either. Hope it's not too hot where you are, stay cool. Take care, always good to hear from you!

I haven't been on here in a long time, just wanted to drop by and give a quick hello. Last year had it's up and downs for me. I have hope that things will be better this year though. How are things with you? It says Tokyo on your profile, did you move?! Happy new year (very belated) and hope your holidays were good!

Interesting to hear about their writing process. It depends on the artist how something comes to life. Some painters take years to finish a painting while others take one day. Both can be beautiful. I really love 'Dead Poets Society'. A very touching film with great performances especially by Williams and Hawke. I am rather introvert but I think a good way of thinking about life is that you have to try things. Yes, you will fall but just get over it and continue. With that way of life you are going to experience "the journey" more. No, I have seen the movie but not this video with the Conninck Jr soundtrack. He has a really nice voice. Might be worth checking out. I've started listening to Jewel, are you a fan?

'Hotel Paradiso' was hilarious, just like the tv-show. I remember one battle in particular where Eddie throws a fridge on Richie while he screams: "NO NO, NOT THE FRIDGE!" Not a very good movie but I really enjoyed it. :-) I only saw the first two seasons of Blackadder and I didn't who he was back then. I do have the intention to watch all the seasons one day. I actually watched a Blackadder short on Youtube called 'The Cavalier Years'. Have you seen it? Coupling and Friends have similar topics but you can feel that Coupling is really British. I love both shows. One of my favorite episodes was when they were all on the phone with each other. Another example of brilliant dialogue! I didn't know that Davenport was a fan. Nice fun fact. :-) Haven't seen 'Arrested Development' but my brother says it's pretty good. There are too many tv-shows to watch these days.

It takes time before you're able to talk about it but I think it helps to put things in perspective. On one hand you can let everything out and on the other hand the other person can give you some new insights. I'm familiar with the song but I had never really listened closely to the lyrics before. It's very beautiful. One of my favorite Dylan songs is 'To Make You Feel My Love'. That's an absolute lyrical masterpiece.

That just 2 hour long word battle. Amazing to watch! The older I get (sounds weird coming from a 19 year old ;-)) the more I feel interested in dialogue movies. After a while the action blockbusters tend to get too repetitive. I have seen Frozen, Broken Circle Breakdown, Jagten and Wolf of Wall Street. That's a pretty long list for me haha. I'm definitely going to watch Blue Jasmine though. My brother saw it in the cinema and said that Cate Blanchett was great indeed. I think it's sad that Di Caprio didn't win an Oscar. He has made so many modern classics that I feel he really deserves his statue. I'm biased of course since he's one of my favorite actors but I don't seem to be the only person to think so. I'm really glad that Frozen won 2 Oscars. I absolutely loved that film! It's been hard sometimes but I came through in the end. I think it has influenced me in a lot of ways (some good, some bad). It really changes your perspective on life.

Yeah, I first discovered the Young Ones when I heard their duet with Cliff Richard on the radio. Absolutely loved it! One of the greatest endings ever. "Oh no, a cliff!" :D Later I discovered "Bottom" which was even funnier imo. Have you ever seen the Bottom film called 'Hotel Paradiso'? It's great if you like the tv-show. Some fun supporting actors like Simon Pegg and Bill Nighy. True, Sheen would probably be more civil and I wouldn't feel quite safe to be in the same room as Mayall. His photo on IMDB is both scary and hilarious. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0562201/ 30 Rock sounds like a fun show. I think 'Coupling' comes closest to a 'British' Friends if you want to draw a real comparison. Have you seen it? I've heard that Cold Feet with Helen Baxendale (who of course played in Emily in Friends) is also comparable. Haven't seen that show though.

One of the major problems is talking about it because they feel trapped in their head. There is still a certain taboo on the subject of mental illness and I have the feeling that the doctors who are trying to help know too little. I've had some encounters with mental illnesses in my family. The doctors couldn't help either and it ended in suicide. I just hope that one day they will be able to help.

'There Will Be Blood' starts a bit slow but Paul Dano's performance is really great, better than Daniel Day Lewis imo. The last two scenes are absolutely brilliant. I think you might like it as well. Sheen's face in 'Frost vs Nixon' reminded of British actor Rick Mayall. I don't know if you familiar with him but they both have that uneasy and socially awkward look. I didn't like Woody Allen at first because I saw his more serious work when I was too young. I'm think I'm ready for the brilliant dialogues now. :-) I really love films that solely focus on dialogue like the Before trilogy. Have you seen the Oscar results? Satisfied with the results?

Yeah, my modern blog is a more random with tv-shows, music, art, … Niles was too funny not to reblog. :-) Sounds like a very beautiful episode. " The bad things don't always spoil the good things or make them unimportant" is really well put. I find hard to deal with mental problems. We know too little to cure them and are left helpless. I didn't know her but I find it so sad that somebody so young couldn't see another solution then to kill herself. We can only hope she found the peace she was looking for.

Oh, I didn't know that Michael Sheen was in 'Midnight in Paris'. I saw 'Frost/Nixon' a couple of weeks back and it was the very first time that I really knew who he was. He was great in both films. Nice guest appearance by Carla Bruni in those scenes as well. Have you ever seen 'There Will Be Blood'? Paul Dano as Eli is really somebody you love to hate. I'll watch your video later this day. :-) I didn't realize it was Sharon Stone until after I looked the film up on imdb. I really love the scene where he can't stop staring at Charlotte Rampling because the moment was so perfect. That's a really lovely scene (and Rampling is fun to look at ;-)) The dialogue in it is also brilliant. "I took one course in existential philosophy at, uh, at New York University, and on, uh, on the final... they gave me ten questions, and, uh, I couldn't answer a single one of 'em. You know? I left 'em all blank... I got a hundred."

"I see a rhinoceros!" :D 'Midnight in Paris' is one of my favorite Allen films! It such a brilliant story and it really opened my eyes on thinking of an era too romantically. I saw a really great Allen this week, 'Stardust Memories'. You might have seen it? The dialogue is brilliant and of a course a nice visual homage to Fellini. I want to watch your video but it says you have to log in to vimeo to do so. I don't have a vimeo account atm. I do have a YouTube account though. Are you going to put the video on YouTube or should I make an account on Vimeo? Yeah, it's artwork by Pawel Kuczynski. I discovered him on Tumblr and I really like his work. He's made some really confronting works. Did you hear the news about biathlete Julia Pieper? She committed suicide with her competition rifle. I hadn't heard about her before but it really hit me hard when I read about it. Perhaps because she was my age.

It's one of my favorite shorts. The lighting and the choreography go so well together. I found it to be very enchanting. Yeah, that would be interesting. Did you ever watch "Un Chien Andalou" or "L'age d'or"? Dali's film are very surreal. What a great performance! Very graceful indeed and great choice of song. Beautiful choreography, really breathtaking slow motion shots at the end. I think I'm going to look up some more of her performances. I read she won silver at the Winter Olympics this year (and Gold in 2010). :-)

I don't know much of ice-skating but Jason Brown really had me captivated. Beautiful performance. It's dancing on ice. I love this dance short by Norman McLaren. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-uwuH_Qix4) Have you seen it? I finished watching 'Six Feet Under' this week. Don't know if you've watched it but I can recommend it if you haven't.

I was too young to follow Sampras but I know he's a living legend. :-) As a Nadal fan I was very disappointed but if you see the results of Wawrinka you really have to congratulate him. It was very nice of Nadal not to hide behind his back injury afterwards and give Wawrinka his moment of glory . Haha, thanks! Frasier was one of the best sitcoms I have seen. The 90s were a really good decade for sitcoms with Friends, Seinfeld and Frasier! I haven't been following the Winter Olympics actively but I do watch the news reports. They probably put it on here as well but I started school again this week so I haven't been watching that much television. No, I'm not much of a winter person. I have never skied but I have gone ice-skating a couple of times. It's quite hard but fun when you get the hang of it. Talking of ice-skating, I absolutely love this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzlcVKFVWVI

Interesting to know. ;-) The Spanish women aren't unpopular either. I'm thinking of Penélope Cruz for example. :) I like Nadal too but in another way haha. Did you follow the Australian Open this year? I was surprised to see Nadal lose in the final. PS: I finished watching Frasier. I watched all 11 seasons in less than a year I think. It had a very nice ending.

Haha, I think Belgium isn't that well known then. I had 2 years of German in high school but my teacher wasn't so great and I didn't care much for the language. I've forgotten the basics I was taught (or what he tried to teach me) already. I'm taking in Spanish in college now . That's one of the advantages of being European I guess. Because of all the countries you come in contact with a lot of languages. Of course, a trilingual country like Belgium is an exception. :p You've mentioned 'Plein Soleil' before but I still haven't watched it. I've finally finished my exams and I'm watching many films. Perhaps I'll try 'Plein Soleil' one of these days. :-) As you can see from my charts I absolutely love Pentatonix. You should definitely check out there albums (they have 3 atm). I really hope to see them live one day

The site is in Dutch, my mother tongue. It's a site owned by our national public service which focusses on the arts. They've put some really interesting videos and articles online. Haha, there's no harm in trying. ;-) The Dutch subtitles helped me but I would have understood the general idea without them. I've reached a decent level of basic French after all these years. Do you speak any languages besides English? I've been listening to the score of 'The Godfather' these last couple of days. I absolutley love it. Nino Rota was brilliant! I see you're a Daft Punk fan so you might enjoy this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MteSlpxCpo
