Haha, the Finnish library system is the best. The Beatles package normally costs over 200 euros, but you can loan it for free and just rip it from the library! Louie is absolutely superb. It contains amazing writing and directing by Louie himself. It has a few episodes that are among my favorite tv-episodes of all time. It's artistic and funny, yet often minimalistic, which makes it very fresh. Absolutely golden stuff. I've loved every season. For a Californication fan as yourself I think you would love it, the comedy is similar in many ways. My favorite comedy shows are Red Dwarf, Louie, Seinfeld, Scrubs, 30Rock and HIMYM. I've watched the original UK version of The Office, since many fans claim it's the superior version. I watched a few seasons, but didn't find it very special. I don't understand why so many UK shows have to be remade in the US, it's the same language after all for crying out loud, though it has gotten reviews as good as the UK version in this case. An exception!

In Finland, you can borrow CDs and DVDs from libraries, so I ordered the remastered CDs for free and just copied them on my computer, haha. The package is really expensive. I had no idea there was a book based on Hank Moody's, that's awesome. It's gotten pretty solid reviews, too. I might want to check it out, too. I didn't mind the ending, because it wasn't the most serious show on earth. It gave nice closure. I just started Prison Break, season 1 was pretty good, watching season 2 at the moment. It's very good. I also watched a few episodes of the new Daredevil, but I didn't like it too much. It was okay. I'm also watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, which is hilarious. Archer and Community have new seasons coming out right now. I'm also watching Louie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1492966/?ref_=nv_sr_1), which is one of my favorite comedy shows ever. I would recommend it highly to you, especially since you like Californication. Louie CK is the master of black comedy.

The Beatles isn't on Spotify because of some copyright mess. Michael Jackson bought the rights to all of the Beatles songs a few decades ago. Paul and Michael made several songs together in the '80s, but famously fell out after the auction purchase. Years ago, Paul complained at having to pay Michael royalties every time he wanted to perform a Beatles song. He said each time he wants to sing "Hey Jude" or anything he has to pay. Also, Sony bought half of the rights with about 100 million dollars a few years back... Paul has been trying to get the rights to them since, don't know what the situation is at the moment. By the way, just finished Californication. I didn't think the ending was bad, I actually quite enjoyed it. I don't know why people complain about the seasons 5-7, I thought all of them were great. Season 6 especially is one of my favorites! I'd love if they made another season, but apparently nothing is even planned at the moment. Absolutely loved the show.

I've listened to Arcade Fire a lot when I still didn't have my last.fm account, so I don't have too many scrobbles of their albums at the moment. Finland has actually been chosen as the "best country to live in" by many researches, haha. I really love it here. People can be polite but very reserved, too. It's a common preconception that we like to be by ourselves, but it's actually quite true. It's not a negative thing, though! By the way, if you can, I would recommend downloading the mono-versions of those Beatles albums. They're mostly available in stereo, since it was a new invention back then and the managers wanted to release the music in that format, but the band members didn't really like it, so mono-versions do exist. Nowadays it's annoying to listen through headphones because of the stereo effect. Only Abbey Road was accepted by the band to be recorded in only stereo, and indeed it doesn't stick out as much as some of the older albums that had it.

MGMT basically considered themselves as sell-outs and wanted to make more artistic music after their hit albums, which is stupid. I don't really enjoy Arctic Monkeys too much, but I've only listened to AM. Arcade Fire's first album is pure excellence. I also love Neon Bible and The Suburbs just as much, but Reflektor didn't really hit me. It has lots of great songs but some that sound dull if I recall correctly. I haven't listened to it terribly much. David Bowie features on the title track by the way! I saw Arcade Fire live on a pretty peculiar location, it was in front of a church right in the centre of Helsinki. This is a picture from the band's perspective: (http://img.yle.fi/uutiset/kulttuuri/article6159863.ece/ALTERNATES/w960/29+Arcade+Fire+4). The new National song sounds pretty basic, not that interesting, but not bad in any means. I hope this means a new album is coming soon.

Life on Mars? is my favorite song of all time (and my favorite music video!), and it's by Bowie. I have more info on why on my profile info! I need to give you one more Beatles recommendation, Rubber Soul, which is just an awesome rock album. The Beatles are famous for never making a bad song - and it shows. I've listened to The xx only a little, but I'll give your recommendation a try! Also, MGMT is great, and the subscription has some cool "lab" add-ons to the site.

My favorite Beatles album - and probably my favorite album of all time - is their last album, Abbey Road. Especially the last nine songs are fantastic: they're a compiled medley with almost no stops between the songs, and it is the greatest thing in rock music ever in my opinion. It features guitar solos, singing and masterful songwriting from all of the members, a large orchestra and even includes Ringo Starr's first and last drum solo, which is super powerful. It's just amazing, I'll never get tired of the ending. Eleanor Rigby is on one of their best albums, Revolver, which is a psychedelic masterpiece, and The Beatles (The White Album) is also one of their best. I see you like The Arctic Monkeys, which is a very similar band to The Beatles. For Bowie the recommendations are harder, he's switched genres 10 times! Best of Bowie is a great start!
