Hi snottybitch! I saw that you have a pretty good taste in music and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We would love if you checked out this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmTj6CzmAp4 ! Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) by commenting the video, and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kjqZUC5PU that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! Love, VIDAR

thanks mann, will track them down. if you haven't heard them already, then i'd recommend checking out 'grievous angel' by gram parsons, 'no deeper blue' by townes van zandt, and 'sam' by calvin russell. all fantastic, depressing country albums

I actually hadn't listened to St Vincent until about a week ago. Pretty hooked right now, especially on 'The Strangers'. Lordy lordy it's a catchy song. Is her older stuff good? Yeah come to think of it despite the glaring sun Beach House probably played at the right stage. Car Park Stage was obviously shit sounding, the small one around the corner was too small and I didn't like the vibe of the indoor stage. Never been hugely into Joanna Newsom though I might have to if I get bored, I'll probs just focus on local acts from now on.

Haha, there's a distinct possibility that one of those people was I. I did the exact same thing with Blonde Redhead, she started screaming and there was heaps of static so I left for Ariel Pink, only to wait another 20/30mins to fix their sound up. Ugh. I heard some good things about the !!! set, if only I had the stamina to stay haha. Yep, every person I've spoken to said the Car Park Stage had terrible sound, they definitely need to work on it if it's to be there next year. Now Owen/Laneway are over it's kind of like, what's next? :( Very difficult to top.

Beach House were perfect minus the sun & the these dumb chicks who were pushing in. Victoria Legrand is friggen amazing. I got to see pretty much everyone I wanted. Rat v Possum surprised me, I loved them, Menomena were probably my fav despite the crowd not getting into them, Ariel Pink sucked (so disappointed, should have stayed at Blonde Redhead) and Deerhunter were good but it was ruined by the biggest douche who was next to me. Ruined most of the set for me :( Then I went home because I was tired haha. How about you?

Agreed on Teen Dream being pretty phenomenal. I guess they have the cater for the masses re: 2DCC. Where were Beach House actually playing their sideshow? I saw it was some obscure place I've never heard of so I didn't bother looking it up, ha. Sounds like a solid plan (particularly the ones you want to see). AND IT'S TOMORROW. Feels like its Christmas Eve.

Beach house's earlyish set is a bit mystifying. Will probs lose my shit when they play 10 mile stereo. I'm going to go see: Rat V Possum (Maybe) --> Menomena --> Beach House --> Ariel Pink --> Deerhunter --> Holy Fuck --> Don't care. What about you? Maybe the rain will cool things down - positive thinking!

I wonder what Owen would of thought about all of the costume changes, haha. So how was it? Did it compare to last tuesday?

Hey hey hey! Haha I only know their old stuff from Challengers and Twin Cinema, I haven't listened to anything from their new album. Btw Grace sent me your 'flowchart' for Laneway- it's almost identical as what I had in mind! I was so torn (still am) between The Antlers and Warpaint tho :0
