hah, I know, I love Iain's accent on this song. Makes it a bit more individual anyway. I play Bass and sing on some songs (I did some back up vocals on certain words here)!

The Marling crowd was mainly made up of teenage girls who talked loudly all through the support act (Alessi's Ark, not bad) and then screamed and sang along a bit too over-enthusiastically for my liking during Marling (though only for the stuff from the first album). Maybe I'm just not used to younger crowds. I haven't listened to the first Meursault album yet but I think they've just added some new members. Maybe some more effects or something, I dunno. And yeah, I've never forgiven myself for missing Flaming Lips supported by Mogwai, Jape and Oppenheimer, in Belfast in 2008 because I had a repeat exam the next day and no one to go with (I stayed home to revise, barely did any work until the early hours and eventually arrived half an hour late to the exam after sleeping in. Still passed though). I've seen all the others since (or before in Oppenheimer's case) but still not FLips, who I got massively into about a month later. Woe is me.

Also, being a good pal might be worth it if a) his band are any good, or b) he might have sex with you. If neither of these apply then go for Meursault.

I'm not sure whether to make fun of you for the paedo connotations or for going to see Kate Nash. Both have such vast potential. I only got round to listening to Meursault the other week actually, largely based on the album artwork, but I was suitably impressed. I saw Laura Marling a while back and she was pretty good live, although it was one of the worst audiences I've ever been in. I'd imagine Cambridge Folk Festival would attract a less ridiculous clientele though. Oh I'll hopefully be seeing The Flaming Lips in the summer too. And maybe Sufjan somewhere with less ridiculous ticket prices than Dublin. I'm not sure I've ever left someone such a long shout before. I hope you appreciate it.

Ah, nice, it was the tour for the Best Of I saw them do it on, and they did Queen Of The Troubled Teens as well, also less screamy. They didn't bring the 100 Broken Windows tour over here. :( Nothing particularly exciting coming up, just A Hawk & A Hacksaw and ASIWYFA in the next month or so, for now. Still need tickets for both actually. You?

Nice. I actually saw them play that a couple of years ago, but obviously it was a somewhat tamer affair.

Damn right it's a good effort (as is yours). I've gone through so many Idlewild-fanboy phases over the years.
