Yesterday I heard the promo of the new album by Cult Of Luna ("Somewhere Along The Highway")…I didn't knew what to expect! The band members increased into 8, so their sound must be changed somehow!
As I heard the first track, I discovered that their sound is altered in some way…The first track starts softly with the vocals of Klas Rydberg being clear and not brutal..The rest of the tracks are a mixed style of "Salvation" and "The Beyond" with "Finland" and "Dim" to be the top tracks of the album by my opinion…In general "Somewhere Along The Highway" is more mellow and has some electronical elements also.
The album is good, but maybe I was expecting something more after "Savlation"…Maybe the album needs some further listening without the promo's voiceovers, because these kind of bands are difficult to understand with the first listening!
The album will be on stores at April 24th.Ofcourse I have preordered the digipak version! Until I listen to the CD without the voiceover of the promo I want your opinion about the album…
