I saw your post on John Frusciante's "Wayne" page. You said it reminds you how much you like Maggot Brain. Both are great songs. Maggot Brain being one of my all-time faves. I'm not sure if you've ever heard Roy Buchanan, but if the answer is no, than you should check out his song "The Messiah Will Come Again" off of his 1972 debut album. There was another version he did off of his 1976 album, called A Street Called Straight, but if I remember correctly he added some stuff and it sounds like shite. Anyways, happy listening!

One evening I was having a discussion with a teacher, one who teaches students who were/are, hearing impaired. We were talking about music, kind of in a philosophical way, and discussing what exactly about music makes it "likable". She gave me probably the most interesting, logical answer I've ever been suggested, or purported. Ask yourself, why does music make us feel good, or make us happy, or even more simplistically, why does music sound good to humankind? All cultures embrace music -at least some pockets of all cultures embrace music in some capacity. She made the point that mankind has a heart, and in turn "heartbeats", therefore we like music. I thought about it, and still think about that fact, statement, to this day. We all have, each and every one of us, white, black, yellow, or purple in color, all human beings have an "intrinsic metronome". Music is just added audio color, or flavor, painting, so to speak, on top of our heartbeats, or music is like "painting on top of our intrinsic metronomes". That is why I'm here. I love music... it's a hobby, a passion, a continued study. I don't know what I'd do without music. Until my heart stops beating, I will always listen to tunes :)
