omfg i know right?? did you see them premiere the new songs live few days ago via livestream on twitter on a fucking ROOFTOP?? because i did at lib west on one of those shitty computers on the 3rd floor and it was a religious experience. i'm so glad they'll be performing at the olympics closing ceremony (along with NEW ORDER let me die!!). but yeah i LOVE under the westway, but i'm still warming up to the puritan (idk it's too much for me i think). ah whatev at least we get more blur!!!

what is our purpose in life? where do we go after we die? do you believe that everyone has a soul? would you rather fly or be able to teleport? what is your dream job? what country do you want to visit the most? do you remember your dreams?

I loooove blur, they're getting back together and releasing new music! There's something about Damon's voice, man...instantly recognizable with a tint of nostalgic longing that makes one melt into their seat. I love Parklife, but 13 is my favorite album. So many emotions, the entire album kills me every time. And it marked their shift into Think Tank territory (experimental/atmospheric, away from britpop). I think it's interesting to note how a lot of britpop bands that started around the same time or drew influence from the genre shifted into this introspection in regards to lyrics + sound. Blur, Radiohead, Starsailor, etc.

    A. Theatre is just a couple of brothers who decided to put together an album about walking around town, meeting people, etc. It's different, much more conceptual than Begin, but incredibly catchy and well-made. a few of the guys from The Millenium were in Sagittarius, which is worth checking out too. :3 I have very little experience with Elephant 6, but I've been meaning to get more for a while, so I guess I should get on that!
