That is an awful lot of Animal Collective loving. I'd give Witching Hour or Volicefero by Ladytron a go, would seem to fit your tastes.

oh man yeah they were dull. i was like 3rd/4th row so i didn't leave my spot until the end, just in case. i was really disappointed that she didn't do doorstep, then she came back and finished the night with it! aah a guy posted a 'music family tree' i drew on his tumblr and it's already got 42 notes :D i'm listening to the new field music album - it's good! there's so much stuff going on, short songs, loads of ideas.

yeah i'd love to see delicate steve, jeffrey lewis, grizzly bear and beach house at eotr. waiting out for the latitude line up though, of course. primavera last year was close to my dream line up, but of course, it's during school!

it's all over the place, but it's a masterpiece. the melodies only come through after loads of listens. sure it's not his best album, but it's up there. it's pretty much all i've listened to for 4 days. brilliant. where did you hear about/ see the joanna newsom leak? and yeah i dunno what i'm doing this year, but i'd really like to go to end of the road. looks fab. maybe latitude -- i've been for the last two years. what other festivals would you consider?

not sure if i'm gonna go to that girls gig, i mean i've seen them twice, and the second one was one of the best concerts i've ever been to, but i've got so much to buy! pretty sure i'll buy perfume genius tickets at some point in the next week or so, even though it is during my exam period. oh well!

gaaah! i did not know that! i'm so excited! tickets aren't available yet... but when they are... and i don't really use a program. i use this 4-track: http://www.roland.co.uk/products/productdetails.aspx?p=818 it's seemingly been discontinued though... anyway, i have experimented with mixcraft and audacity, but i didn't have a microphone til recently, so sound was always bad. i don't like using those programs, because they have to potential to make some really great music on, and if i used them and made shit music, i wouldn't have an excuse... at least with a 4-track i can say my resources are limited! just use what appeals to you the most.

i like to think it was me, yeah... haha. yah i know what you mean about not being able to go to things, i mean the amount of gigs i didn't go to until like mid-2011 because i wasn't really allowed to... money is cool to get. i mean, getting presents is great, but then you don't know what you'll want later in the year when it's not your birthday!

yeah i guess i'll listen to born to die sometime soon, i mean i've been told it's very good. i think i was the one who got it changed to 16+ !!!!! i was so upset when it was announced as 18+, so i emailed the venue and promoters and label (i know, extra) and it was changed like the next day. haha. you should go to both, two gigs in a row is fun - not like i've ever done it other than at a festival. and happy birthday !!!!! get any other nice stuff ?

i really like be a body and oblivion, but a lot of the album seems a bit... forgettable ? like with the of montreal release, i'm refraining from listening to the perfume genius album. might try out the lana del rey one sometime. see you've playing the first aid kit album. i saw them last night with a couple of friends (who were fans). it was pretty good, but maybe not 'my thing'. i wonder who will support tune-yards, i mean, it's gotta be someone fairly known. but yeah i can't wait for that gig.

i don't really know much of future island's music, i only started listening to them like 4/5 days ago. his vocals aren't really to my taste, but there's something there that totally grips me. don't know much about grimes, but i remember listening to 'vanessa' on a friends ipod. i'll check her out sometime. right now i'm listening to that perfume genius over and over, as i want to write a review of it... it's hard.

yeah perfume genius has a new album in like february. nicolas jaar is pretty cool, was gonna see him with a friend but we chose not to because of the price i guess. that song is pretty cool. i'd say colomb is my favourite ! i'm listening to future islands a lot nowadays too, really want to get into them as they're playing in london soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GhtZt2HYkM this is a really good song.

well i haven't actually heard it all yet, only wintered debts and dour percentage. i absolutely love dour percentage. i'm waiting for the physical release, but i'm getting a bit impatient ! if it's better than false priest, that must be great, because that was one of my favourite albums of last year. at the moment i'm listening to this pretty much on repeat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOpkr8uNWpk
