I was wondering about that. That is a pity, because those functions really do add a whole lot more that the casual user is completely oblivious to. Well, I'm glad those rules didn't completely take away these features.

I just want to say that your RQL has revolutionized the way I listen to music and opened my mind to so, so many artists. I don't exaggerate when I say that it has changed my life to a certain degree. It turned this site, an already powerful tool for music exploration, even more powerful. It has also introduced me to artists from various parts of the world that I have had, and will have, the pleasure of meeting. Thank you, sir.

Good to know but still... it's not the same! At least you'll still be around, that's something. Hope you have something good lined up. :) <-- sad smile. Who's gonna fix stuff for me? Don't know the new people really. I'm scared.

Hi! I have a paper to write on data mining and I was wondering, if you knew any last.fm data I could use to build a random forest/neural net upon.

Ok, let's cut to the chase. What is going on with your lot? There are a lot of angry people out there and they want an explanation as there seems to be a lot of assumptions being made. I and others await your reply.

Hi! I just wanted to say that I think BrimstoneVomit's suggestion is a very good one. It's a solution that would make everyone happy. Please take it under serious consideration. Thanks. :-)

Aye, I've been offering free downloads right from the setup of my page. But linking friends/family/forums/whathaveyou and expecting them to download just to have a good listen is an inconvenience I don't wish upon them. It's fine for friends who already love my music, but I typically e-mail my new works straight to them anyway. Call me a Negative Nancy, but once I get used to having everything I'd like in one place, I get awfully frustrated when the veritable rug's pulled from under me... :P

Would it be somehow feasible to add CreativeCommons implementation down the road for us free/share-alike artists to cover ourselves? I can understand if licensing with actual labels is a bitch, and would hate to see the artists therein left out of the full-track loop, but could there be a functionality where we set a CC license in our Music Manager and we can freely set our own song settings? After all, I already link to my preferred CC license in my artist page bio. And perhaps down the road the same functionality can recognize more license types used by labels, and can grant the freedoms therein on their artist page.

Good to hear. I sincerely hope that Last.fm will continue do deliver "greatness" like in the years before. A big part of that (for me) was to be able to give people access to my music. It worked great BTW. It's gonna be a lot harder, more difficult and more confusing for new users or those who are seeing last.fm for the first time. Thanks again.
