No worries, I never check it either. I just gave Songs: Ohio a first listen, reminds me a lot of Sun Kil Moon, I like that. I'm just gonna throw some records at you, not knowing what you already listened to. new Beirut is great, new Fleet Foxes is amazing, new Bon Iver aswell, I'm not sure I even told you about the National back then, definitly worth a listen. If you feel like experimenting a little bit, Explosions in the sky, Mogwai and This will Destroy you are all worth a liste. Hope you are having a great day

hey! back again, had a great time in n.o. bourbon street was a bit annoying but the rest was really cool. spent a lot of time walking up and down magasine st, and went to Pravda three nights in a row, awesome place. also some cool jazz clubs on frenchman st. so thanks for all the tips! be sure to let me know if you're coming to sweden anytime, and I'll give you the tips :-)

hey again, thanks a big bunch for your answer! will definitely check those places out and it really means a lot to get it from someone who knows. otherwise we'd just get lost in bad touristy places and not get to see the good stuff. again, thanks a lot and I will shout back when I get back home and tell you about it. perhaps i'll even bump in to ya there :-)

Who was in the lineup when you saw em? I went to lollapalooza and they had amy milan with them, which is pretty sweet. The second time around in SLC (my hometown), they had the guy from Apostle of Hustle and some chick from a local band, I think. She didn't know all the words.... =S

I guess the creepiest thing is the inclusion of Yann Tiersen in both our top 8's.... its not like he is insanely popular, even amongst the indie crowd. Also, you'll probably be jealous: I saw BSS two times this summer.

you might want to check out a few new albums I've heard and liked quite a bit: Portishead's new album (Third), the Notwist's new one (The Devil You And Me), and an album by a L.A. art-punk band called No Age (the album's called Nouns and you should especially check out "Eraser", "Teen Creeps", and "Things I Did When I Was Dead"). If not the specific albums, anything you haven't heard by any of those three bands is sure to impress...i think...hah. So what have you? The ball's in your court... =]
