sludge, huh? i strongly suggest you should listen to more Neurosis, they are the greatest metal band after Black Sabbath in my book. also, Take as Needed for Pain and Dopesick by Eyehategod, Our Problem by Iron Monkey, Come to Grief by Grief, Human = Garbage by Dystopia and the Crowbar s/t.

Yeah man, its great. I've listened to quite a few, and when it comes to my favorite (as far as the power of the finale), it's Stravinsky's recording of the full piece (not the Suite) with the Columbia Symphony. The power of the lower tuba part or bass trombone or whatever is unbelievable, it gets me every time. Too many recordings don't have it (maybe because they have only one tuba playing only the 8va part). I wish I could find a youtube link, but they don't have the exact one. It's on the 22CD complete works of Stravinsky though

You could try The Firebird which is probably his second most famous piece after the Rite. Petrouchka, Fireworks, Concerto in D, Symphony in C, Symphony of Psalms, Mass, Les Noces, Symphonies of Wind Instruments, The Fairy's Kiss, Ebony Concerto, The Flood. That should start you off bro haha

Sure thing bro, try Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol (especially the 1st, 3rd, and 5th movements)
