Thanks for visiting. I'd like to hear your radio some time. Cheers.

...Ugh, I'm so rude sometimes... _Thank you_ for visiting my shoutbox and bringing me superfine music links to digest! I've missed this happening :( So it's always a nice, welcome, wholly embraced surprise, when it does :)

:) And the entire Totem Rock EP is actually streaming on Spotify! ...Complete with obnoxiously, unnecessarily wrong artist tags :\ "Totem Rock Kaseki Cider Kogure Shinya". Are there really other Totem Rocks that make that kind of additional distinguishing necessary...?

Also, the strangest use of High Llamas tracks you're ever going to hear, perhaps. Strange, but strangely addictive... The whole EP is pretty weird, based entirely on what's being mashed-up, but it's still cool, too~

Thank you for stopping by my shoutbox and linking that Cornelius track! I may already be listening to the album it was pulled from, but it was still fun to embarrass myself by attempting to write out kanji and then seeing it moving and grooving along to the music :D And goodness was it ever. My handwriting is lousy no matter what kind of language it's attempting to lend itself to :D Did you know Chocolat is the female voice on that track...? Takako Minekawa lent her voice to the album as well, and one of the ladies from Buffalo Daughter, and I love, love, love, love the track she guests on... Couldn't find it to link, but I _did_ find the "new" salyu x salyu track Color Magic, which is similarly lovely :) The whole album is definitely in keeping with what he's been doing lately... Minimal experimentation... Really lulling and... Extremely nice. Yeah. That's all I can think to say about it...! :D

HARCO celebrated his 15 years as an artist with a special collaboration with Kaji Hideki and Takehiro Kouno from GOING UNDER GROUND. These songs are wonderful won't be released as a CD: http://www.hearjapan.com/en/mp3/harufes-triangle/

And my charts won't show it because I've mostly been listening to it offline, but I've got to repeat again how amazing "Haha Sound" is, which is all I've been listening to lately, pretty much... I still love "Before We Begin" the most, but "Winter Now" is probably the one song I'm putting on repeat more than anything at the moment, and I'm also loving "Hawk" an awful lot(it's very My Bloody Valentine-esque, I think, which I like), and "Man is not a Bird", and "Lunch Hour Pops" and "Colour Me In"... I seriously need to buy additional albums so I can continue on with this obsession, really :)

Not too sure how Jenka had almost completely escaped my notice all this time, but ugh, her music is so cute!!!! ..Or this one song is, rather. Working my way through more of her material at the moment...

You'll get roughly twelve dozen more thank yous once I've been able to dig in to the note links, I'm sure, but for now you'll get one huge THANK YOU for sharing "Come on let's go"... Broadcast may be referential to the kind of Sixties I don't particularly care for(but, again, I think my big issue is Hippie Sixties so as long as that kind of folksy nonsense is kept away from me I can handle almost anything. I rather like Melodic Harmonies Sixties!), but I kept seeing comparisons made between them and Stereolab and I've been on a "Bands That Sound Like Stereolab" kick all this week and figured it was about time I took to seriously trying out their music and knew you were the person to ask because you're such an enthusiastic fan of theirs... And I'm loving "Come On Let's Go". Very much a lot. It's a truly wonderful song that I can't even begin to have the proper words for, so _excellent_ first recommendation :) I should have done this months ago...!

:) I can't imagine you don't already listen to Modular, but I'm only just being made aware of their Stereolab-ishness myself and wishing I knew other languages well enough to fully appreciate the lyrics of songs about Paul McCartney Clones :(

Stumbled across this album on Spotify... It's super relaxing, exotica-fied sounding takes on YMO songs.. Really good stuff!

..As part of my continued Techno Kayo research, I have discovered Saeko Suzuki. I am not quite sure where this little lady's music has been all my life, but I think I am now in Love. Seriously. Do you listen to her much? Do you like either of the songs I linked? I'm trying to decide which I like better and having an extremely difficult time of it... I'm leaning toward "Happy End", but what do you think? ..And how have you been! It's been awhile since we last talked ;_; I hope everything's been well :) ..Or better than it has been going lately, even.

Hello dear, how have you been? :) ...I just discovered. Do you know why Audrey Hepburn Complex-era Pizzicato Five may sound YMO-esque? Because Hosono himself produced the "Audrey Hepburn Complex" single :0 :0 :0

Replying as I watch(and pleased as punch that you're shoutboxing around the exact same time I was private messaging you, by the way!): "The Audrey Hepburn Complex" PV. Huh. I'm undecided if it was nothing more than a four minute, fifty one second excuse for Mamiko Sasaki to have a series of wardrobe changes committed to video, or if they had five dollars and a video camera and said to themselves "Well guys, let's see what we can do with this". ..And the five dollars was used on the rental of the bunny and the bird. Which I too keep in my handbag, along with a gun, so I feel a tad less weird about that now. And I can only assume there were no casualties as a result of either Shoevalanche or else we'd have heard of that tragedy before now. Strange, strange video. Great song though! I'm only recently coming to realize how good SuperEarly P5 are because I only had "Couples" to go by and... that album is good too, but...

I had no idea she covered this song or a video for it existed until just yesterday, but now knowing, it is a little bit Amazing. And if ever you thought to yourself "Well, I think I'd like to see Hosono in some kind of bathrobe, but I wonder I could go about making this happen?", there's your answer. ..Also, I am not too sure what those arm movements have to do with the words/idea of "Tokyo Rush", but I'll want to do them myself every single time I listen to this song from this point forward :D

Chocolat & Akito released a song for a compilation of 70s covers today. It is the chillest track you will ever hear (3rd track): http://www.hearjapan.com/store/album_info/VELVET_SONGS_2
