Yeah, I've listened to Woven Hand's first three albums and the first EP and Sackcloth'n'Ashes for 16HP. It was kind of hard for me to adjust to DEE's vocal style on 16HP after starting out with Woven Hand. The first time I listened to it I found it a little disappointing compared to Woven Hand, which is on a whole other level. I also feel like the songs on Sackcloth'n'Ashes, while some of them are very compelling, are a bit similar to each other compared to the Woven Hand albums. But I'm getting to like it better now. Also, I do with Last.fm wouldn't play the same ads over and over again.

I did find the right site eventually. Last.fm seems to think it's two words, though. I just bought the first album on Itunes, and so far it's pretty amazing.

And now I just listened to some of their songs on Myspace. Wow. I was pretty much completely blown away. Thanks for mentioning him to me.

I've actually never heard of Woven Hand. I shall have to check them out later. It's wonderful how much new music I've been discovering through this site.

Doctor Who's most recent season is some of the best television I've ever seen; you really need to watch it. And believe me, the LPD aren't as strange or un-Catholic as some of the things I listen to. :) My taste in music often does tend toward the dark and/or weird, and I enjoyed the LPD songs I've listened to very much. On the other hand, some of the weirdest music I've discovered lately, which you might find interesting, is the ambiguously-Christian band The Revolutionary Army of the Infant Jesus. Their music is enigmatic, spiritually potent, and very hard to describe--as one article I found put it, "Attempts to categorise typically result in unending lists like 'avant-garde-celtic- gypsy-industrial-disco-etc." They are obscure enough that they are out of print and you can't even buy their stuff on itunes apart from one track from a compilation. Liking a band that obscure makes me feel a little better about enjoying all that cheesy power metal I listen to. :)

Sounds like I should give the Legendary Pink Dots a try. Looking at their tag cloud they seem to fit well with a lot of the music I've been enjoying lately. For now, though, I can finally buy the soundtrack to Doctor Who Season 5 online, so I need to get listening to that. :D

I see you've been listening to my library. I am glad I've got someone else listening to Paul Roland, he deserves to be far better known. :)

Hi Lorelei, how are you? I've been at the Lorelei last weekend, it's such a beatiful place! On every side of the Rhine are castles everywhere - this area made me feel like 500 years back in the past. Friends of me are living there and I will try to visit them again soon.

Thaks for the congrats, but I think it's just a measure of how much I listen to stuff on the computer? A "Geek" measurement, if you will. If you listen to too much music, you have to wear an eyepatch like me? I don't think you want to do that...
