1. Which song do you prefer, #1 or #40?
I love My Bloody Valentine, but this song is just an instrumental, so i'm going to have to say that I like 1 better.

2. Have you ever listened to #12 continuously on repeat?
I've listened to the album continuously on repeat for about a year, but not this particular track.

3. What album is #26 from?
It is from Creeps Me Out I must have gotten this from a Facebook sampler. I really don't like it. I think I'm going to delete it from my itunes.

4. What do you think about the artist who did #15?
I LOVE Broken Social Scene. Honestly, they are one of my favorite bands ever. I saw them live a couple of weeks ago- that was awesome. Never would have been able to get tickets in New York - trust me, I tried.

5. Is #19 one of your favorite songs?
I like it a lot, but I wouldn't say favorite. It's from that Axe commercial. I just thought it was pretty cool. I do weird things like that. But i think, if a guy is wearing Axe, that is disgusting. That shit smells nasty.

6. Who does #38 remind you of?
Because it is old-style The Mountain Goats, it reminds me of pretty much everyone i went to high school with, especially the kid who burned me this CD. You have to understand that everyone at my high school listened exclusively to old-style mountain goats. BTW, I LOVE this song.

7. Does #20 have better lyrics or music?
Oh geez, that's hard. In the middle of this song they do this really funny little montage, but the lyrics are priceless. Barenaked Ladies are generally superior in both regards.

8. Do any of your friends like #3?
A lot of my friends in Vermont like G. Love, but i'm not sure how many of them like or have heard this album.

9. Is #33 from a movie soundtrack?
Well, it was in that Jude Law movie, 'Closer'. But that's not why I have it.

10. Is #18 overplayed on the radio?
Maybe on college radio in the early '90s, but i was in preschool when this album came out. What would I know?

11. What does #21 remind you of?
Vermont and the way america should be.

12. Which song do you prefer, #5 or #22?
Easily 22, because I definitely don't like 5 (but i do like Gorillaz). Plus, Devo is just awesome.

13. What album is #17 from?
Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

14. When did you first hear #39?
Just now...

15. When did you first hear #7?
just when it played. i have a lot of new (to me) stuff in my ipod.

16. What genre is #8?
Peter Peter Hughesis good old-fashioned 90's indie (for the most part; this song is more recent but still bleeds 90's).

17. Do any of your friends like #14?
Probably some geeky, super nintendo-obsessed friend of mine somewhere.

18. What color does #4 remind you of?
He's using a cheesy old synth, and the recording quality is bad, so i would have to say 'grayish pink'

19. Have you ever blasted #11 on your stereo?
as much as you can blast classical music...

20. What genre is #37?
Wolfmother is Psychedelic (revival) Rock.

21. Can you play #13 on any instrument?
How funny that you ask! This is a movement from Carmina Burana, which i played the double bass for in my senior year of high school.

22. What is your favorite lyric from #30?
It doesn't have words

23. What is your favorite lyric from #23?
It also doesn't have words

24. Would you recommend #24 to your friends?
Of course. But I in reality have few friends who don't listen to The Smiths.

25. Is #2 a good song to dance to?
hell no. it's a good song to, like, cut your wrists or shoot up to.

26. Do you ever hear #16 on the radio?
I think Doveman played this on New York Public Radio a while back - and of course on some ultra-indie internet radio stations.

27. Is #32 more of a "nighttime" or "daytime" song?
Definitely daytime. It is WAAAAAY too silly to be a nighttime song...unless you're stoned.

28. Does #36 have any special meaning to you?
No, it just reminds me of 1995.

29. Do any of your friends like #31?
Yeah, my best friend loves Sondre Lerche

30. Is #25 a fast or slow song?
It is on the slower end of midtempo, but very depressing, which makes it feel slower.

31. Is #35 a happy or sad song?
It is melancholic, like every Doveman song.

32. What is one of your favorite lyrics from #9?
"And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers,
But all that lives is born to die."

33. Is #34 better to listen to alone or with friends?
It depends on what friends. I think Joy Division is less depressing with friends, but they have to be fans.

34. When did you first hear #27?
Also, just now.

35. Name 3 other songs by the artist who did #29
Burnin' Up

36. Do you know all the words to #6?
Yes, as this song is from the first album i ever owned. i played A Boy Named Goo TO DEATH as an 8 year-old.

37. Does #28 have better lyrics or music?
It doesn't have words, so music, of course.

38. What album is #10 from?
It is from Gorillaz, an awesome CD.
