Joan Jett is a big favorite of mine. Last spring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio did a nice exhibition for the Women of Rock with a lot of emphasis paid to Joan's contributions. It is time though they actually elect her as a member of the hall of fame for the role she played in helping to break ground for female rock artists. Put that on top of having to start her own record label when the then present establishment did not deem her work worthy is truly inspiring and deserving of her rightful place of honor.
