Yeah! it's a sweet movie. I read about the swell season on a blog and realized they were the same folks.

No, I don't think so. Nothing since their album from 2009. I just started listening to them, though. Really digging it.

Have you ever heard of/listened to Baroness?

It's really good! I've listened to it maybe 5 or 6 times through, so I'm slightly hesitant to say it's better than their debut, but I'm really really liking it so far. Same great vocals and melodies with some slightly more experimental instrumentation. And the lyrics (by in large) are much more straightforward, which could be a good or bad thing, depending on your taste. I'm looking forward to listening to it a lot this Spring/Summer.

Ahh yes! I noticed that you were listening to him at the same time as me. Nice coincidence.

hmm i think Princess Mononoke is my favourite right now. Howl's Moving Castle is also top notch. I really think you'd like his films.

Yea not all the songs on ITUE were failures. Panic Attack was good as a single, not much lasting value though. Battleship Graveyard was pretty good if you could look past all the times he says "honey" and how it seems like they cut the song short. A Classic Case of Transference has a pretty good riff. And Nobody's Perfect is probably my favorite song on the album, in my opinion it's the only one that stands past the cheesy-ness :)

never had the chance to see bygones. i meant tera melos earlier but still. i'd love to see those guys sometime. Tim was a bit out of it and i wish i could have seen them play. never got the chance to do that. Andrew was super nice, tried to get me in buy i was 19 and the venue was already at capacity. bought a shirt off him though and shot the shit for a good while. Thomas was somewhere talking to someone or handling band business so i never saw him.

ITUE was a disappointment, that's all. People expected waaayy more from The Fall of Troy. For the people who didn't like Manipulator, it's maybe cause they were feeling the same hype for the album. I wasn't crazy hyped when it came out, it was just like : (ooohh look manipulator by the fall of troy, better buy it). Also, Thomas fucked up on the lyrics in ITUE....."fractured my heart once agaaaaiiinnnnnnn" Yea-no :)

which band? i'm assuming you mean Underoath. like i said it's been a few years. i was still in high school when i saw them for the first time but to be honest i was happy. i've been to a good amount of shows and i was impressed and i didn't feel i wasted money. fear before is always great. spent a few years in junior high and high school music but nothing like a band. but i can appreciate what they do. have you listened to bygones at all? he certainly has talent but some times it seems like he just fucks around on stage. almost saw them once but the venue was sold out. they walked by me though when i was talking to Andrew and Tim of TFOT. bought tickets to see them in seattle on the tour with foxy but couldn't go so my girlfriend at the time and her friend went.

I drew my avatar a long time ago...like...right when Manip came out. Good times those were. This is just what came to mind was listening and trying to remember what the album cover looked like. Drawn on my ipod touch, btw :D

    How was Tera Melos live?

When I saw them live Define the Great line had just been released. Since they've done Lost In the Sound I'd really like to see them again. Fear Before is always amazing. Seeing them when Mouth came out would have been cool comparison wise but either way they always put on a good show.

Yes, the new Frightened Rabbit is definitely worth buying. It's not quite as good as Midnight Organ Fight, but it holds its own without a doubt. There's been a ton of good new music to come out this year, man. It's been awesome.
