Well to be fair, I DLed that Boris album out of my own free will and enjoyed it alot. Still not enough to qualify as a SUPER connection but I guess some ppl just have dirt low standards, ahaha.

Alright, so I kept my word and finally checked out the Talking Heads live CD (yeaha, I didn't think I'd have the attention span to watch the film). ................anyways, I hated it. Naw, just kidding. I really liked Psycho Killer -- it totally put my expectations way up high. The next few songs didn't quite live up to it (esp. Heaven), but thank god I held through cuz there are some srsly good songs here. I thought I'd be turned off by the singer's voice, but the 80's beats are too fab too pass up. At any rate, I've listened through this album more than once and I'm totally pleased, so thanks for the rec! Looks like Talking Heads just might be my Candy Girl (oh god, it would be so hilarious if our music tastes just switched)!

ohk wow i'm spamming, but what do you think of this song???? his band Japan is one of my faves, but i think his sounds could potentially overlap with ur interests http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MT0IqPJsvU

ahhaha, srry but i think the key word in your statement is "think" (but i will give you credit for not listening to music made by a pantless hippie). as for the song -- oh man, thank god for the bass; i was srsly about to turn the thing off (beep beep BEEP boop boop). i personally think that song could've been 1.30 min long and still leave the same effect on me though OR just have the end bit be the entire song (that was some rlly cool stuff rite thurr). overall a 7/10

So nice to hear you like H17 and Aural Vampire (bit shocked, actually)!! Suicide is really chill -- lots of pleasant sounds, for sure (and ofc I made the mistake of initially searching for just "suicide"). As for the Velvet Underground, I'm sure it's more of an acquired taste thing so I'll just keep an open mind..... I'll def check out Talking Heads tho. I've heard a lot of good things about them, but I've just been too lazy to give them a good listen (and to reply back to your message ahah).

Oh wow, I'm surprised to hear you like PSB! Hmm, I mean if you like their older 80's sounds, then I'd rec Soft Cell, Kajagoogoo, Heaven 17 and Ultravox (all have healthy doses of cheese tho). Otherwise, if you just want electro sounds, I've really been into Aural Vampire and Gothika (formerly Euthanasie). But yeaha, rn I'm rekindling with some of the Japanese artists I listened to in my teen years (the horror) so haven't got much else to rec unless you are in the mood for 1.) ethereal electro-pop or 2) brooding rock. Any recent finds or anything you'd like to rec as well?
