Thanks for the link - it's sort of motivating, really. I didn't expect it to catch on as quickly as it did. Makes me feel good about myself, actually.

Indeed, that's my new blog I'm working on. It's a good way for both me to keep my love for wizard rock alive and any readers to learn about bands they may not have known prior to reading. I don't recall posting about it on tumblr, but I don't really remember how to use it so I may have done so without knowing. Also, thanks for following, there should be another post up by the end of tomorrow actually.

Indeed, 813 to be specific, and there's many more from MySpace I wish I could have on iTunes, along with several (at least 50) wizard rock albums I could buy off iTunes if I had the money. There's a lot of wrock out there, more than most people realize, and a grand collection is not impossible, though it would be difficult to attain. Sadly, I never went to any wrock concerts, so I missed out on the most vital part of the musical experience, that being the fans. I've noticed that wrock fans tend to be devoted, and it's a good thing, because it means the wizard rock movement may never die (or if it does, it will take a while). I'm a member of The Secret Broom Cupboard of Salazar Slytherin, which I describe as a quasi-band, because neither of us play instruments and just sing over popular songs at a low quality (though I like to think a majority of our lyrics are good). Right now we're on hiatus, but we still have the passion.

Indeed, I'm not too torn up, though it is slightly disappointing. Some really talented wizard rock artists are inactive, which is a shame. I listen to wrock whenever I'm in the mood, and though I only have just over 800 wizard rock songs on iTunes, I still go to old bands' MySpace and listen to music there. Heck, I'm sort of in a wrock band myself, and though it's terribly low-quality, I feel as though I'm doing something as to not lose the magic. And I agree about the social change fact; it's always great to see a band like Harry and the Potters do something that can really help people. I think it's fair to say that a lot of wizard rock bands truly care more about social change (even in small ways) than they do money, and I love them for it.

You asked something a while back about Draco and the Malfoys performing their last show, and though I don't speak of the validity of the claim, I have a general statement to make. A lot of wizard rock bands are, shall we say, hanging up their hats because as the books and movies are done, motivation and interest is dwindling. People like me will always listen to wizard rock, no matter how popular the subject matter is, but consider this: Over the course of 2002 to the present, there have been over 800 wizard rock bands. Some new ones are popping up (The Muggle Spell Theory, for instance, though it's really just a continuation of Creevey Crisis), but other, more popular bands may not find it a profitable path (it has never really been the path to riches, but some bands, like Ministry of Magic, Harry and the Potters, and Draco and the Malfoys have made a pretty penny from it), and decide to give up. My opinion, but I feel as those it's a quite logical statement.

Thanks! Love yours as well! <3 So true! Beating up Lestrade or something. LOL Oh, you're listening to Maurice Ravel. The only thing I know by him is "Boléro". Heard it the first time when I stil was in school. Love it.
