I got this idea in sort of a roundabout way whilst reading a journal entry on this site a few days ago. Someone was wondering what their top songs or artists would be if they could somehow scrobble ALL of the music they have ever listened to, rather than just music that is played on the computer. While I still can't quite do that, I can try to keep track of music that I listen to away from the computer and then post journal entries about that music. To simplify things a little, I'll only list albums that I listen to in their entirety (or at least a significant part of them).
Anyway, enough blah-blahing for now. Today, while in the kitchen, I listened to:
Audioslave
Revelations
Live at Benaroya Hall (most of disc 1)
I have been enjoying Audioslave's self-titled album so much since getting it for Christmas that I decided to get Revelations when I saw it for sale in a record store yesterday. I'm sure I'll have more to say about it once I've had more time to digest it, but I really liked what I heard. The Pearl Jam album is a real gem; the little screwup on Thin Air, along with Eddie Vedder's subsequent comments, makes it well worth hearing for anyone who likes their live albums to be as authentic as possible - if they kept that on, I think it's a safe bet that there are no overdubs or fixes anywhere else on the album either.
