Hey hey! Yep, I haven't done much with it but I did this (link in pm) . Huge triangle ADNKM. Maybe needs some work still, but I'm not sure if the simplicity is a good thing? Thoughts? Looking for more work.. (got screwed around a bit by a bar/cafe). I've been listening to The Presets lately, check those guys out (they're Australian too!). I'll check that Puppy out :) Hope you're well! Fill me in with your news!

Haha me too. Too busy. Haven't done much else on the logo. Moved house, new girlfriend, got a new job then lost it. Enrolled to study computer science. Played a gig at a smallish festival. Are you still in the same job?

Yeah it has! I was wondering what had happened to you! How's life going? You busy?

Haha nope. Well, I'm done with school because I'd rather just learn on my own in my own time, a lot of school seems to be about passing tests and fulfilling requirements and less about learning and using what you've learnt. But.. I guess that all depends on where you go and what you study. I've been polishing off some stuff that'll go on the EP. I'll let you know when it's out. :D That's too bad, it would have been an awesome job to do all of that! Since I've got to get this EP done within the month, I'll need to do some graphics and artwork, and I'm thinking of designing a new logo too. Something totally different. If you have any ideas about that, let me know, maybe we can do something cool.

You "graduate" haha, I like how you put it like that. Nice work for finishing up though. Must feel good, one chapter finished. How are your studies going anyway, enjoying it? Good luck on the signage job. What would you actually do in that if you got the job? Get an amp! It's totally worth it! Did you end up grabbing some Sennheiser earphones? If not, grab the CX300 II's! Super clear balanced sound for a reasonable price. I'm glad you checked out my new stuff on the Soundcloud. It actually feels pretty old to me now, since I'm now home and been through so much. I finished off a new one a few days ago, I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait to slam it onto my EP which is due next month. :D Trade me? Sure! Or even just mail me some hot air. I'd appreciate that. ;)

Yeah totally, I went there 4 times for some reason. I really don't intend to go back to that area. Buy an amp! You have enough money now (I'm guessing) xD. Sorry about my super late message, I'm back home now, got a new house, a new job, and I'm busy as hell. Australia is fucking cold right now. I don't know why I didn't plan this better and entirely skip winter.. So anyway, what's been up since you last messaged?

(cont...) MN was super boring. Especially in the winter. Fuck that. Actually, going on walks through the woods in the snow was fun, but there's really nothing going on. Summer was nice, but the whole place still feels so empty. I recommend you to go to a shop and ask about testing a headphone amp out. Bring your music player and listen to the differences between using it and not using it, with different styles of music too.

You should! It's pretty easy going here. :D I'm in Melbourne. Not as hot or populated, but there's a great music and art scene. And the best coffee ever. There's a lot of wilderness, if you travel our of the city for 2-3 hours. Tell him that he should visit Tasmania (the island state below Aus), and New Zealand, if he's looking for some awesome wilderness. :D Yup, I totally agree. You really learn about yourself when you push yourself to the limits, when you do something out of the normal, when you explore etc. I really get that feeling a lot when I'm out here travelling by myself. Great, lonely, personal, amazingly vast experience that really changes your perspective on the world. Hah. But yeah, then again, the times when you're out by yourself or with a small group for a while, you miss home and the easy comforts. It helps you appreciate it. It's good not to get stuck into a pattern in life too.

Check this! http://www.headfonia.com/music-on-a-budget-sub-100-portable-amps-shootout/ The one I've got is the FiiO E11. Love it. Though, I also bought one for my brother and his one had some problems with the output. No expensive though, and suite small. Totally recommended! Yeah I'm still in Taiwan, such beautiful sights here, I went into some mountains with a friend last week and fuck.. Breathtaking. Going to Vietnam in 12 days! Michigan? No idea what it's like there! xD I've only been to MN.. So when are you going to come out and visit Australia? :D

Hey! No worries, in all of my experience, Sennheiser's are really good 'phones. Sink a bunch of money into a good pair and they'll treat you super well. A headphone amp won't increase the volume, it'll give you a better output, clearer and bigger sound throughout the spectrum, so shit sounds nicer, heavier, bassier. You can hear a lot more because it's clearer. I always use mine to produce my music now because it allows me to hear so much more of what's going on,easier to separate the sounds etc. I like it so much that whenever the battery goes flat, I'm really annoyed because listening to music without it just isn't the same. :D Hey, glad you're liking the newer stuff! Right now I'm kind of conflicted between producing and travelling, it's a bit hard to focus on music when you're taking in your surroundings. :P Haha, I'd love to take you up on that drink offer. :P To bad you're not closer. Where in the US are you?

The track I was working on is here: http://soundcloud.com/adonikam/the-sepia-spider Actually I think it's kind of boring now. :( Haha Beatport! I checked that out once a few years ago, and it didn't interest me at the time because I think it was still young and had limited types of music. It must be huge now though, I'll check it out! :D As for headphones, you can't go wrong with Sennheiser. I've got some Sennheiser HD595's and they're fucking awesome. I got a headphone amp for them too, and it's the best sound I've ever heard. I also got some Sennheiser CX300's for outside stuff, since I don't always like taking the big headphones around with me in public. The sound is quite full, bass is there, and the treble isn't sharp like you get on phones like Beats, nice and clear. They're super good at isolating sound too, I can barely hear anything else but my music when I'm wearing them. Highly recommended! I hope this helps. :) Definitely check out getting a headphone amp too.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome actually, and something hard to really grasp unless you're midst it. Back when I was in Australia, for a while I was sharing a house with 3 people from Taiwan and 1 girl from Thailand, and at one stage we had some visitors, two from Japan and one from Korea, so I was the only Australian. xD But, it was such a strange cool situation to have the Japanese teaching the Taiwanese how to speak some Japanese, and the Thai girl listening in and learning too. All while in English speaking Australia. It was funny too, because their English is so terrible, but it's the only common language that we all shared, so it was really funny hearing two people from different countries attempt to converse in a language they barely knew. :D My accent actually isn't that strong, but for some reason it's mixed between British, Australian, and American. Uh.. I don't know why...

I'm getting my newest track mastered by a guy in Russia! It will be interesting to see how it sounds. Problem is, I no longer like the track because I've heard it so many times now. :(

  • JeBuZac

Aha! Yup, difficult at times without knowing the language, but sometimes it can be fun. Speaking to people with limited language somehow breaks down the social barriers that usually exist. For example, nobody takes any notice of what stereotype you are, they're just happy to talk to a foreigner. It's nice and refreshing to not have the usual stereotypical judgement every time you meet someone new. :D Oh god... You 'learned' presets.. There's something seriously wrong with that.. The least creative thing you can ever do.. Did they at least 'teach' you how to make your own presets and edit the standard presets? You can seriously learn more about photoshop by yourself. I can't afford to buy it, so I downloaded CS3 or something. It's good enough. With the fonts, you should copy all the fonts from school to a USB and then install them on your computer at home. :D

(also cont..) I didn't get into the school, because I missed out on submitting one of the forms. -_- So stupid. But then again, I've had more free time because of that, which meant I cold work a bit more, save money then go travelling for almost 7 months! :D

Hahaha! Goddamn! Any class in which you learn nothing is completely useless. Actually, I'm in the same boat. I learnt 95% of all I know at home, online on tutorials on DeviantArt and other places, and a whole lot of spare time just messing around with the programs. I have a small amount of my stuff on on DeviantArt, but most of it's like, 12 years old! Sure, send some to my email, if that's ok with you! My email is the same as my username on last.fm, @ gmail.com. I also love logo design! :D The most fun I've probably had was animating my own one for myspace, for example: http://tinyurl.com/7ehgqhh and http://tinyurl.com/7zwzgf8. Never stop being creative! One art to the next is the best! Absolutely nothing wrong with that! :D And you're right, things like pattern, lighting, color etc, all go hand in hand from one medium to the next, just like music theory can apply to any different genre. ;)

Graphic design? That's awesome! Show me some of your work! I also love graphics, Photoshop used to be my my best friend. ;) What do you think you'll move on to after you've finished? Cool, thanks for the compliment! :D I've been working hard on a few things that aren't up yet too. :) I chose these places, just to travel, see some friends that I met last time I was around in Thailand/Vietnam, visit some people who I met from Taiwan back in Australia, and just sit back, not have to worry about work or that tedious stuff, and focus on having fun and writing music. :D

Haha yup! I'm here for another month, then I'm off to Vietnam then Thailand. Let me know what you think of my newer tracks! If any of those up on that page aren't available for download, but you want the track, let me know and I'll email any to you. Yup, we should talk more. xD So, what's been up with you?

Hey! :) I've been up to.. some stuff! Broke up with my girlfriend in MN, now dating a girl who I work with (totally opposite hey). Working on a long piano song, which is between 11 and 12 minutes so far, that I intend to use to write an electronic/guitar based/whatever EP with (yes, with singing too, hopefully I can work that out!). And amidst all of that I've applied for uni over here, for a varying range of computer subjects focussed on games and design. Wow, that ended up being longer than anticipated... How've you been? What's news? Hope you're doing awesome. :D
