Somehow we have super compatibility. Never thought that would happen. I was listening to your library the other day... Not bad, not bad at all. I might even go as far as to say that you have actually introduced me to some stuff...

Didn't think it would actually sellout. Definite fail! You'll have to get the review, damn you! Btw, from that email, did you understand the meeting to be this Wednesday, right? Um, Lang felt a lot better than Lit but we'll see how it goes...:S You??

Yer it's good innit. All that mystery. The whole mystery is a mirage thing is quite useful to take as a stand alone concept as well, for Screw and Great and WW blah blah blah. Yeah good luck to you too! I'm having the same inner debate...might work for another hour or two...

Reviews for the paper! Ah yes, that was one of the many awesome things about being at uni. Think it'll be interesting just to see them at the Faversham, might be a cool venue. We'll see - think some of their stuff's a bit too wacky for me, but I'm curious for the live set. And nah I didn't till today! Still going through books looking at quotes though, cause I'm a language analysis person rather than a ideas-only person. Check out The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir if you haven't already, used to think it was total bollocks but turns out, haha, there's some good shit for Turn of the Screw and Woman Warrior in it and it's too long. Unlike Bhabha's Committment to Theory. Struggled to understand most of the words in first paragraph and thought: fuck that.

Miike Snow - band! - are shit live, trust me, Animals is their poppiest song, the rest of the set is just them trying to do some kind of electro-pop-house that drones in and out of your ears, mind and body, eventually making you wish you were dead, or at least elsewhere. Much worthier things deserve your tenner - how about Yeasayer, at the Faversham? Oh and good news, which I have been made aware of in this afternoon's study session - you don't get marks, or lose marks, for quoting! So don't fret about learning quotes, just re-read the criticism and focus on your ideas about the books, and connections between texts/critical theory :)

Ahh fail fail! It's always on my laptop if the internet decides to be ungiving. I did eventually dl Departures by the way, but looked too depressing for my state of mind back then, might watch post exams. My halls are fellin' hot hot hot! Like that song. I'll private message you some warmth. I KNEW you would like that girl! Everyone's gonna go crazy this year. Haven't checked out her old stuff, just most recent album. But wait! You can Spotify old stuff. http://open.spotify.com/artist/0jkK3K1ATFFHofEWjd2i00 I have a zip of the latest album, you definitely want it.

No, it's good, you can just imagine! Anyway it was super sunny yesterday despite snow, so it worked. Download download! I'll link you. I have tickets already...I was thinking, ah maybe it won't be worth it, but apparently they're really into it live, so should be fun if nothing else...I got up from London no prob, was super stressed but turned out there were only minor delays. http://www.media fire.com/?njgodjmzmtz

Okay, delete the spaces in between 'media' and 'fire' to get the link - otherwise it gets marked as spam...be sure to listen all the way through, and to the lyrics, k? :) x

Yeah, got the leaked version, I liked their debut a lot for a while then stopped listening to them. Think they get a lot of stick for being white boy afro-pop pretenders, but I like the odd combination of preppy and poppy, and I'm a sucker for anything sunny.. Some tracks are like whatever, but Diplomat's Son (which I can't stop listening to) is the best thing ever. I'm in Leeds, trying to revise cause wasn't getting any work done in LDN. So far, I've finished reading Woman Warrior and drawn up a list of themes to brainstorm. And that's *literally* it. 40%, 40%, 40%...
