1:Left
I discovered this band about 2 days after they announced they were splitting up, this is an amazing song. Starts off quite quietly and just builds into an absolute crescendo of music. The lyrics are great and it just all adds up to a superb song and a band who will be missed.

2:Maps
Brilliant song, one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard and the video just seems to fit it perfectly. Karen O is an amazing singer and this is an amazing song with one of my favourite lines in a song ever:
"Wait they don't love you like i love you"
It's just such an amazing line and it's sang with so much emotion that it just breaks my heart to hear it.

3:Baby I Love You
Amazing song, amazing band

4:Better Days
Goo Goo Dolls are an amazing band, I could have basically chosen any song they've written but I chose this one because it's full of hope for the future:
"So take these words and sing out loud
'Cause everyone is forgiven now
'Cause tonight's the night the world begins again"
Those lyrics are just amazing:
" I wish everyone was loved tonight
And we somehow stopped this endless fight
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days"
It's a song of hope and that's why I love it.

5:Last Goodbye
He would have been 40 if he was still alive on the 17th of November this year. This is an absolutely mind blowing song with some amazing lyrics as well:
"Kiss me, please kiss me. But kiss me out of desire, babe, and not consolation".
Everytime I hear this song I get goosebumps and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, that's how good it is.

6:Boston
Wishing to escape from a situation and move somewhere else, superb song and superb lyrics. This is a song I recommended that everyone should listen to at least once.

7:Kids In America
Yeah I know, what's an indie kid doing with this song here. It's a great song, my favourite pop song of all time. The beat, the music, the lyrics are just stunning.

8:Faithfully
You know I chose the Pretenders last time for a certain reason, well, this track has the same reason. I can just imagine this being used for a married couple's first dance, absolutely magical:
" They say that the road
Ain't no place to start a family
Right down the line
It's been you and me
And lovin' a music man
Ain't always what it's supposed to be
Oh girl you stand by me
I'm forever yours…faithfully"
I mean, how can anyone not fall in love to that?

9:I am The Girl Who Wanted To Be God
They're my favourite band of all time, I had to have at least one of their songs in this list :P. This song is just great, I love the music and James Dean Bradfield is a great singer, which leads me into….

11: Snow Patrol - Open Your Eyes
I'm not usually a Snow Patrol fan at all, but I heard this one day and it just completely clicked and it was my "anthem" of the summer. To me it's about losing somebody and wanting to be with them. Unfortunately it's a song I associate with losing a friend to.

12:Life is Beautiful
They're right, life is beautiful, I saw these guys when they were the support for James Dean Bradfield and they were just brilliant. This was the highlight and it is yet again another song about hope.

13:Monday Monday Monday
" I say damn your mood swings
damn your mood swings", heh, could be like they're singing at me. Great song, great singers, they really should get more recognition then they currently get.

14:Winters Memory Of Summer
I could have chosen anything from their second album, absolutely anything from a fantastic album but I chose this one. The last minute of this song is just my favourite part of a song ever.
