Yup! I probably said this last year, but this year was extremely dope. 2 El-P related albums alone makes it so, but there was a hell of a lot of other genuinely great stuff too. Kendrick Lamar, Captain Murphy, Roc Marciano, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and lots of other stuff.

Painfully, man! Mixed 3 songs over the last few days and it was as torturous as it was fun. Yourself?

The Strange Journeys? Definitely if you liked Dirty Acres. And I'm waiting for my copy to arrive. it could be a month or two before it does! :( But I am sure it will be more than worth the wait. Should be a great 2011 for them to what with this and then CATM and I'm prorbably forgetting other releases too!

Nope, and you probably won't be able to find much because Kno is paranoid about getting sued lol.

I still needed check out MM4 and that Krit mixtape. This year has been one of the best in awhile IMO. There's been a nice variety in dope stuff. There's been great underground album, great southern albums, great mainstream albums etc. Best year in a while!

Recently been listening to Teflon Don, Critcal Beatdown, and finally got Plastic Beach. Something that came out more recently I've been listening to is Gangrene - Gutter Water which is a collaboration between Oh No and The Alchemist. Neither are that amazing on the mic, but the baets as you'd expect are really dope. Yourself?

A Piece of Strange is out of print unfortunately! Meant to be a re-realse coming out at some point. You can't really go wrong with any of their discopgrahy, but I'd recommend checking out Dirty Acres next as it's got some of their best production on it. Seriously, though, grab anything you can find, and you probably won't be disappointed! :D

Yup, there's quite a few producers on there you wouldn't expect. I was disappointed when I saw ther'ed be no Stoupe, but the production is great.

I just threw them on today out of curioisty so this may not be right, but on the page it says if you have 20 instead of 10 as an option it updates automatically. Make sure you look up Aristotle's Dilemma and Same Story by Vinnie Paz. The former is my favourite Madlib beat of the year. So awesome!

Oh yeah, it was Slaughterhouse you didn't like right? Yeah is a lot of bradaccio rap on it, but a lot of it's pretty damn funny. It's much less serious than Slaughterhouse. And it's definitely worth checking as some of the songs are hilarious. As for Vinnie Paz normally I'd say be cautious as VP can get a tad repetative with gun talk and bragging etc. but I think he strikes a decent ballance here. More importantly, though, the production is really varied which probably helps matters. I'm probably underrating Vinnie a bit as I'm not his hugest fan, but I definitely recommend it.

These two are a bit older, but I really liked the Nas and Damien Marley album, and the Rhyme Asylum album. It's English, but don't let that put you off! :P More recently Bar Exam 3 is pretty good. I'm not sure if you'll like it as you didn't like Street Hop, but this is more light hearted. You have to hear Pants and Vagina even if you don't listen to the whole thing. :P Apart from that I checked out Canibus' new album which is a mxied bag. There's some fantastic songs, and some pretty meh ones as well. Some of the features are pretty uninspired too. The Eminem diss is hilarious, though, as it uses D12 verses. There's also Marco Polo and Ruste Juxx's album which is probably one of my favourites from the year. Mega-Ran and K-Murdock's album surprised me as well. It's totally nerd rap, but Mea-Ran actually has skills and the beats are some of the best of the year. And finally Vinnie Paz - Seasons of the Assassin. I'm not a huge Vinnie Paz fan, but this is pretty good.

haha, they are all in my tops albums list at the right hand side of my profile. Diabolic's Liar & a Thief is right behind DR for me so far. New Roots and Vinnie Paz (if thats your cup of tea) are great releases this year too. The new eminem and big boi albums kinda got old to me tho.

oh straight up, DR is album of the year so for. Such a classic. As for the new RE, it's a dope album, but nothing mindblowing. It has a lot of great joints, but also about 5 mediocre to bad songs. I'd give it a 7/10. You should check it out still, you might like it more than I did.

It's a lot better than I expected! I downloaded it expecting great production (delivered there) and lyrics that got old very fast, but Necro isn't too bad on the mic. He's got a really complex flow that doesn't usually outstay its welcome and songs like Thugcore Cowboy, Brutalized, Sorcerer's of Death Constuction, Human Traffic King, First Blood are actually kinda dope. There's some really fantastic samples on there. I say it's worth checking out for the production, and if you don't go into it expecting great lyrics it should be pretty good overall.

The singing doesn't really annoy me too much except on You're Never Over. Yikes lol. :P It's just that it gets a bit repetative. Anyway as for the album as a whole it doesn't seem completely cohesive to me, but I really like it all the same. Going Through Changes is just plain awesome, agreed there. Almost Famous is awesome too. Other favourites (copied and pasted from GS): Cold Wind Blows, Talkin 2 Myself, Cinderella Man, Almost Famous. I also liked Seduction, No Love, Space Bound, 25 to Life, but at times they felt out of place or had things that really let them down for me. As for Big Boi's album you can stream it on myspace. (Not sure if you still can, though) and from one play through I thought it was pretty damn aweosme!
