Hey cjn22! We saw that you have a pretty good music taste and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We would love if you checked out this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmTj6CzmAp4 ! Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) by commenting the video, and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kjqZUC5PU that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! Love, VIDAR

Hello cjn22! We saw that you got nice music taste and thought that you maybe like our music as well. My sister and I are from a southern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, and we just recently released a song we recorded 2 months ago, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYYcM4WDUVM . Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) and also check out a cover we did for Valentine's day at our channel! Cheers! /ROTH

Yeah, you just sign up by creating a username and password and then you enter in your information section by section. Wow, you're applying for a lot! I think with post grad you have to have a personal statement for each course (then again copy and paste is a wonderful thing!) That's pretty cool, I've been meaning to ask - if you decide on Sussex do you fancy sharing a flat with Russell and I? Everyone would win, it would be cheaper and we could afford a place in the center of the city :) I think I'm going to apply for an education loan - I want to stay down here because of my family, Russell, Dotty and my job(s) and Sussex is the best by far down here. I don't have enough confidence to apply for London unis really :( anyway, blah blah, Sussex doesn't offer compatible funding for me :( I need to wait and see because if I can find myself a half decent job prospect - even in the College, then I might consider doing the course part time and funding it myself :)

Thanks for all your hard work with the presentation :) I've signed up and submitted my basic details to the online application for the media practice for social development and change at sussex. I've been emailing someone in the school of global studies at sussex and they've been helping me - I wasn't sure if I'd get in because our degree is theory based rather than practical. I think I'm going to apply for International Relations as well though. I'm not sure. Ahhhh. The application is rather intense!! Who are you asking to be your references? I was thinking Adam and Ian as they know me best. I've already asked Adam and he did his doctorate at sussex so I'm hoping that'll help ;) What have you decided to apply for? This song is really cute by the way :) totally in love with her voice x

Let me know what they say :) what course at Sussex were you tempted by? Yeah, they have funding for one of them but it's for students who are exceptional. It's irritating that I don't fit in either brackets for most funding - relatively low income parents or really clever :p my rationale is going okay I suppose. Sometimes I feel really confident about it and other times I just want to go to sleep for a long time and not think about it. My topic feels too big and it's a little overwhelming! Are you sending Esther yours on Friday? That's the cut off for drafts isn't it?

That's a good idea :) well, we're not really massive fans of having students anymore unless they're self catering. The idea of cooking for someone all the time seemed a novel idea but in reality it's very time consuming! I especially loathe the idea of writing a dissertation and spending half my life cooking! :p have a think about it because it's certainly an option :) with regards to small train journeys - we're 7 minutes away by train so over Christmas (if you're not at home) you should come see us :) if you travel outside of peak times, the train will be virtually empty :D

Russell and I have both agreed that you could stay with us over the summer :) we have a double room, with a bed and a desk and chair in so you wouldn't need to worry about anything like that. It would be awesome if we were going to the same uni :) Well, if you ever fancy a trip to Brighton I could come with you! :)

Would you consider Sussex then? They have a postgraduate open day at the end of January, I know you probably won't want to attend but I'll be taking photos :) and I could ask any questions you might have. Do you reckon your mum could take you down there?? Russell isn't sure at the moment, he's getting on with his dissertation and deciding later on :) That is the great thing about Brighton :) I love how exciting it is and how free you feel. It's expensive to live there but the Uni campus has rooms for postgrad too :) I still want to go into working for some kind of NGO or something like that, I'm not sure what I'd do - but I'll cross that bridge if and when I come to it! I may fall into a career :p

That sounds amazing!! You really should it! :) where have you been looking? I don't think it's too ambitious, you're very bright and you owe it to yourself :) Brighton is the best city in the country (not that I've been to every single city!) I also have to take into account what Russell wants and we both love Brighton.

Yeah it is London. I am swaying towards Sussex - Adam and I discussed it a while ago and it's where he did his doctorate. I think I'd love it there. I reckon you should do something based on film studies because that obviously interests you, do you have any idea what you want to do for a career yet? With regards to the education loan, it is essentially like any other bank loan - however, it has a smaller interest rate, it's easier to get and you don't have to pay it back until one month after you finish your studies. Russell is making me watch Al Murray. I am distracted :p

Well, I had my hopes on Goldsmiths - Global Media and Transnational Communications but apparently so has everyone else and they already have limited spaces for 2013 entry :( I've also got my eye on several courses at University of Sussex - mostly International Relations and Media Practice for Development and Social Change but if I chose the latter I would need to sharpen my photography skills as that would be my media practice :p Unless you are academically superior to everyone else, or your parents are practically homeless, there seems to be no way for funding except through an education loan. If I got one of those I would probably still be paying it when I turned 40. Do you have any ideas on what you want to study?
