Just realized we are the same age. No wonder we seem to tag a lot of the same music.

Hi. Thanks for accepting. Been seeing your tag on awesome and obscure albums everywhere and wanted to say hello. Will be looking into your work soon. Cheers from Georgia.

I've started a new project and would like to invite you to check it out and possibly contribute in some way if you have the time ... It is called Embarque. BTW, I tag tracks all the time and don't listen to them till months later when they show up on one of my stations. I seriously can't stand to see so many people call you a spammer. You are quite the opposite and it is so obvious to me. Sorry you get so much flack.

Hey thanks for the add :) I'm not trying to be biased here, but if James_Hartley accuses you of spamming (which is CLEARLY not the case) I can accuse him of trolling YOUR personal tag. I really don't see any negative influences of YOUR PERSONAL tag, it's just a tag after all. And it's not your fault that other people started using your tag too, so I can't really see any problem...

No, I'm adding material to MY radio. What (and I'll say it again) DOES NOT affect you in ANY manner whatsoever.

Just one more thing: you've listened to 70 thousand tracks and have personally used the tag 110 thousand times. For real you are spamming.

As I said many times before, a personal tag doesn't influence you in any fashion. Many other people seem to like other users' personal tags, including mine. Relax. It's not intended to affect your station or profile or library (and can't do that). If you can't stand the vision of other peoples' actions, please navigate through the wikipedia genre pages or Discogs or any other less social site.

Well, it's not like "everybody else does it". Many, many other people keep personal tags, too. Personal tags are not graffiti; the fact that they does appear to others is collateral, not the main idea behind its use. And, as it's personal, it doesn't have to be meaningful to anyone but me. That's the very definition of personal. I'm not messing with other existing tags or with the genre tags, like "techno", "blues" or "turntablism". THAT would be plain wrong. And, no, the tag were not applied to 133 thousand artists, but only to the 11 thousand artists in my library. That other amount is the number of times the tag was used, including each individual track or album. And thanks to that my library station became much more varied and interesting.

Favourite or favorite album, bud. That's how everybody else does it. Plus you've tagged nearly one hundred thousand artists more than you've listened to. Don't take it personally, it's just worn thin to find meaningless graffiti on literally every artist I or anybody else listens to. Perhaps somebody should go and tag everything "kilroy was here"? At least that would have more meaning.

Yes, I used it thousands of times. And this affects you in what capacity? Does it interfere with your listening habits? No. Does it stop you of doing anything at all in this site? No. So what? It's an official feature of Most users have personal tags. If you don't like them, that's too bad. Ignore them and move on. As a paying customer since 2004 I have the right to use the tags as I see fit, since I'm not influencing any other stations but mine. Using a personal tag is one of the few sure ways of adding the whole discography of a certain artist to your library. If you simply add the artist in a tagless fashion, it'll probably play always the same song ever and ever. "Spammer" is a serious accusation, one that's clearly not true in this case. I'm using one of the features of this site and I'm not force feeding absolutely nothing to anyone, so please stop.

You've personally used the totec tag around 110 thousand times. It's on every artist or album of import in past thirty or forty has less meaning than "favourite artists" or "best of 2011" or whatever. At least some tags mean more than "appeared in a top 100 or 1000 list somewhere, sometime."
