I hadn't thought about my last.fm buddy in eons, until I saw this neat little collaboration between Trailer Park Boys and The Tragically Hip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJZhc3HAwpc&feature=kp

How exciting!! I visited London two years ago and absolutely loved it. I think Greenwich Park and Camden may have been my favourite stops. Have you had the chance to take any weekend day trips? My plan is to absolutely hit up the Canada Day show, provided I'm working in the city this summer. I don't actually have tickets yet, but I feel like Downsview can hold upwards of 100,000 people. The rest of the lineup looks pretty solid as well. Life at Ryerson is grand! I still have one more year to go as I switched programs, so I plan to be involved in O-Week again!

What a fantastic revelation! Any chance you're going to The Tragically Hip show on Canada Day at Downsview? Hope you're doing well too!

So far I've seen Michael Buble, Roger Waters doing The Wall (best show Ive ever seen), Joan Baez, Rick Springfield, Steven Page, Goo Goo Dolls (not by choice). Looking forward to the next ones. Also hoping the lineup for Bluesfest is good this year.

Life is tip tip terrific! I just discovered the Freelance Whales whilst road tripping home last night and it has truly brightened by spring break. I'm trying to finish out my pre-med with an internship to China, I'm currently taking a course on music of the eastern hemisphere and our world's diversity of sounds simply astounds me. I got to play an authentic Australian didge and tinker around with Indonesian gender the next week :^) The great beyond has been kind to me. Are you well?

Hello there. Life in Ottawa is fantastic compared to Timmins. I don't have to travel far for decent shows anymore. Its also nice only being 2 hours away from Montreal. I see you're in the UK now. Neat. Job or school?

Just discovered Tindersticks. The singers voice is very similar to Matt Berningers (The National) - and the songs are even sadder. :)

Hooray! Whilst the camera shot was awesome one cannot argue with the potential offered by such an amazing moustache.

Have you heard the new R.E.M. songs yet??? What do you thinK? I think this could be their best album since HiFi. I really like Uberlin.

I've been putting the vegan thing off for years. It was always "I'll do it next year" and it just never happened. But I've set a date, I'll complete the switch by Christmas...which should be interesting. The family found it hard enough with me being a vegetarian and now I'm going more extreme. The hardest thing about it is constantly reading labels at grocery stores...so time consuming. But worth it. I have to write letters to the universities too as I'm applying as a mature student. Thats proving to be more of a challenge than I anticipated. So what are you taking in school? Tchaikovsky...as with most people I'm only familiar with the 1812 Overture. Using a cannon as a musical instrument was genious.

Yeah sounds like it was a good show. Im going to see them twice next year, got front row seats to one of the shows. The other is general admission so who knows about that one. I heard they filmed that rooftop show so I'm hoping to see it at some point. The new album is definitely among their best in my opinion, I bought the vinyl version, sounds great. I'm doing fairly well for the most part. Just got over a case of pneumonia, but at least it wasnt H1N1. Today I have to meet with a dietician for advice as I'm moving from vegetarian to vegan. Want to do it healthily. Also getting my affairs in order for the University application next month. Busy busy. How are things down south?

Passion Pit's "Little Islands" has me hooked. I can't wait to give it a listen in the car, it seems like a tasty highway jam.

I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed the film. It's quite staggering to consider the work and effort that went into hand drawing that animation. You aren't the only one whose tastes have taken a turn for the electronic; that seems to be a common trend of the past decade. I'm no great Radiohead fan, but I have to give them some credit for the advent of electronic sonic experimentation in popular music. Speaking of, there is a marvelous little band called Phoenix that I have recently discovered. You may know them by an older song called "Summer Days". I highly recommend their latest album, with emphasis on "1901", "Lasso" and "Girlfriend". As a fan of Vampire Weekend, you'll notice that I opted against the use of an oxford comma :^) I've been looking forward to their new release. The band reminds me of The Shins and Midlake, in that they have released a relatively small amount of material but all of it has been stellar stuff. Have a happy Halloween.

I just saw Blue Rodeo's performance for the Canada Walk of Fame on youtube. Kind of funny seeing them all in suits. They're usually dressed so casual.
