Hmm, I do not know that I would tell on my neighbour... The photos are basically from Madrid, things I take while walking the dog, but there is one from Belgium.

But no climbing walls? I thought that was your thing. So you have black market in Belgium too? I guess the world is changing for all of us, just hope I am not too old to be able to adapt, haha, hey, I can still put my socks on while standing up!!

Haha, no, I did some on the inside, electricity and plumbing mainly, we had people do the rest. Our house is the wood part, but we also have one of the other buildings next to it (great for house + workshop). We do get views but no one has got in touch with us about the house, the situation here is really bad -not Greek bad- but bad enough. Future plans? Maybe emigrate to a prosperous third world country and set up business there. Web-shop is slow too. No, my son has no serious house-building skills. How about you, how is your business going?

Well, I am glad that work is back for you. We will be in Avila all of July -I would have liked to meet you there this year- trying to get our house ready, but we have put it on the market as it is, here, take a look: http://www.idealista.com/inmueble/25862554/ You wouldn't care to have a 20 year old rock climbing apprentice working with you for the summer, would you? My son is looking for something to do for the summer, but this country is dead.

Hey, how was your Spanish vacation? I was at Ávila too, but no Internet so I couldn't reply to your message, I did call twice from Béjar, but communications failed.

Haha, I was not about to pour concrete anywhere, but when I do I will surely get in touch with you, being as technically savvy as you are. Actually when I first saw the sculpture I thought it was like clay, that is what caught my eye -as the wife is working with clay-. Moulds are not part of the near future. Hey, Johnny Cash got into domestic conversation the other day as my rock-climbing enthusiast 19 year-old son started to tell me how great he was and how much into him he has got lately. I know, I told him, I am older and wiser than you, haha.

Here is where I read the words cement fondue: http://www.davidshrigley.com/sculpture_htmps/sculpture-95/campfire.html Yes, I did see some great concrete stuff in your site, I especially liked the blocks.

Ouch, the Spanish mentality thing... I sometimes blame it on this being a Catholic country -you know Catholics cannot think by themselves, they have to wait until someone tells them what is right and what is wrong- but Belgians are also Catholic and they do not share the same mentality (good thing you got rid of Spanish rule in due time). I could go on forever on this subject, better get back to the ruinas: you go to the river to get your own rocks!? You're the type of man my wife has always wanted!! SculptureMan, do you know what cement fondue is? I am trying to get my wife to use it for her work (she is into ceramics, but we do not have an oven/kiln), but I am not sure what it is and how to work with it. Would you know?

Yes, JCash can be played loud inside the car with no sense of shame whatsoever, Cat Stevens is kind of a guilty pleasure to be kept to myself. You know what my first record ever was: Johnny Mathis-Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head (http://youtu.be/16HbylkbhJY). Candelario is close to our ruina (or at least not very far, here: http://maps.google.com/maps/place?ftid=0xd3fa3116d76cb59:0x6274c2056c752cea&q=Calle+del+Pil%C3%B3n,+Los+Cuartos,+Santa+Mar%C3%ADa+de+Los+Caballeros,+Espa%C3%B1a&hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=40.374667,-5.456847&spn=0.000008,0.000011&t=h&z=17&vpsrc=0). We are not sure yet what we will do with our ruina in the future, when we first got it we wanted to restore it, sell it, buy another one, restore it, sell it, buy another one, etc until we had enough money to keep one for ourselves, but now we have all our money in it and I do not see any possibility of us selling it in the near future.

Haha, yeah, well we all grew up to Leonard Cohen, didn't we? How about Cat Stevens? I still enjoy some of that too, just do not let me see Barry Manilow in your playlist!! Yeah, it has been quite a while, do not know if I will last long though, the crisis here is really bad and business is going down the drain -we have not even travelled since last summer- you wouldn't be in need of an extra pair of hands, would you? Hey that Andalusian ruina is really looking good!! We got ourselves a ruina too in Ávila (against my better judgement, haha) and it looks as though we will be doing some work on it this Summer (although we do have somebody working on it now). Why did you leave your castle? Now I have lost all my Royal friends!! Great to hear from you.

Ja zeker alles goed. Bijna vakantie. Erg goed album. Groet, Cas
