    to top it off, the club that i saw him at, totally sucked too, to add to the sense of misfortune. (i felt that it was run by people who were doing their best to gouge every centime out of us hapless fans).

    Wow, excellent info. I saw Marion Brown in France in 1977, and he had some kind of funk band with him, if I'm not mistaken. (Jack Gregg on electric bass?). I will have to listen to 'Sweet Earth Flying' once again, with a fresh set of ears! I assumed that it was this lackluster band, which played with him in Paris, was on 'Sweet Earth Flying', but I'm wrong! Well, that is certainly good news!

    Thanks for the updates. Altough I was never a fan of 'Sweet Earth Flying', 'Geechee Recollections', on the other hand, is one of those 'must have' recordings, and I did find a copy of 'G.R.' It was so nice to hear it, after so many decades, without it.
