I had never heard Fleetwood Mac until Casny tweeted about “Green Manalishi ” on their live album, Live In Boston. And then that became one of my favorite live albums no less than Live At Woodstock or How The West Was Won. They played “Underway” in the middle of incredible “Rattlesnake Shake” jam. If you have a chance, it’s worth your while listening to it.

Sure, I read your review. It’s good to hear that you had a great experience. They were loud as hell in Tokyo too. That was quite a bliss and I enjoyed my teeth vibrating, of course without ear plugs:) Glad that you like Rangda’ s new tracks. I love Plain of Jars too, which is based on Fleetwood Mac’s “Underway”, I think. Chasny is working on his another project, August Born now. He is always a busy boy.

All right, I will edit the Dead C. side this weekend. And when the upload is done, I will tell you the link via the SPZ forum PM.

You said, “parallels with Godspeed”? That’s exactly what I was thinking about during the show! I realized they might have big influence on Godspeed. So I ordered the album. Thanks for your recommend. Did you get the split EP of Rangda? Finally I got the one yesterday. I remember you were not so excited about their second album, right? But definitely those two tracks suit your taste, kind of improvisation or jam, so beautiful.

I’d got only two albums, The Seer and My Father Will Guide To…, and couldn’t say that I got into them either. But it didn’t matter at all. The show was just mesmerizing, especially Coward was the highlight to me. So I’m sure you will enjoy the show.

Hallo, how are you? I read on the forum that you bought Ready To Howl. What do you think of it? I like their Vol.1 too. Sadly I missed the first half of Beach House show and the whole Grizzly Bear because of my job thing. But I could make it on Swans. That was my first time to see them live and quite an experience. Their performance was really loud and solid. They are one of the greatest live bands I’ve ever seen. You’re going to see them in two weeks. Please let me know how it goes.

very true. I might just do that! don't want to miss them :) I certainly can recommend some more cocteau twins! heaven or las vegas is probably the most 'poppy' (you can't really call it that) record, but I really love blue bell knoll and the moon and melodies. they also released stars and topsoil last year - it's a collection of EPs/etc (in order!) and is pretty great. :)

Hello! I'm looking forward to seeing Swans again. I'm also curious about the new MBV stuff. Plenty of gigs to look forward to!

Hi there. Yes, I’m going to see Beach House tomorrow. Unfortunately I have to work at home through this weekend. But fuck it, need to take a break for this. I read about new Rangda split release on Casny’s Twitter page (where he often tweets some cool vids of his favorite players and bands, have you seen it?). He constantly works on some projects and never fails us!

I saw MBV when they curated ATP and they were amazing. I'd be interested to see if the new album comes out this year too, however if it's anything like the re-masters I won't hold my breath haha!

The installation was volunteers cycling around the room with speakers attached to their bikes, with commentary about drone planes and ambient noise - I probably haven't given it the best description here but it was interesting to watch! I like how Sharon Van Etten's voice is kind of folky but powerful, there's a real sense of atmosphere there. I was a bit sceptical myself but I found myself really enjoying it. I know what you mean about MBV, I saw them a few years ago but I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fan or anything! I could only get pre-sale for London though which sucks.

Oh wow! I'm incredibly jealous! ATP was really good, I'd have to say Kronos Quartet and Richard Reed Parry's installation performance were big highlights for me as well as The National (...of course) and Sharon Van Etten was a real treat, I'd never listened to her before but I'll definitely have to pick up her album. I spotted you're going to see MBV too, so excited!

True -never know, they might announce something even better for next December. Sounded like a great line up at the 10 years one. I'm definitely going to be at that BRMC gig, love them. I see you're going to the Dirty Three gig, I'm out of town that night, let me know how they were!

Definitely, if you're a fan of the curator there's bound to be other bands playing that you'll like too. I'm still trying to decide whether to go to either the Deerhunter or TV on the Radio one this year but it's so expensive now. I started going in 2008, my first one was the Pitchfork one. I went to the fans one in 2009, which has to be my favourite. Who did you see at the 10 years one? I totally agree, there really is a good community feel there and there's more of an atmosphere.
