01 Which song do you prefer, #1 or #40?
To be honest, #1.

02 Have you ever listened to #12 continuously on repeat?
Nope.

03 What album is #26 from?
Kings of Crunk, LOL.

04 What do you think about the artist who did #15?
I’m not an avid listener of them, but they’re Canadian and their instrumentation is awesome, so they get props in my book.

05 Is #19 one of your favorite songs?
No; they have far better ones.

06 Who does #38 remind you of?
Torquil Campbell, because that’s who sings it?

07 Does #20 have better lyrics or music?
The lyrics are quite unsubstantial, and there literally are hand claps throughout the song, so it’s musically better.

08 Do any of your friends like #3?
I’m not certain – they’re pretty obscure.

09 Is #33 from a movie soundtrack?
No, but it SHOULD be. ☺ Well, the coda (hey-la, HEY-LA, etc.) is featured on a University of Phoenix commercial, if that counts.

10 Is #18 overplayed on the radio?
No, thankfully.

11 What does #21 remind you of?
Either middle school (which is not pleasant) or better yet, the Leutner jukebox. Not the particular song, but the artist.

12 Which song do you prefer, #5 or #22?
#22 by far. One of my favorite classical pieces.

13 What album is #17 from?
New Magnetic Wonder.

14 When did you first hear #39?
When I first “acquired” the album, I guess.

15 When did you first hear #7?
HAHAHAHA. Sometime in middle school, on the radio or on television. Those were the days…

16 What genre is #8?
Musical/movie soundtrack.

17 Do any of your friends like #14?
Yes, and they actually played at a Spot Night last year, but I hadn’t known about them at the time.

18 What color does #4 remind you of?
Pink. The color of Gwen Stefani’s hair at the time.

19 Have you ever blasted #11 on your stereo?
Nah.

20 What genre is #37?
French Impressionist, if you want to get technical.

21 Can you play #13 on any instrument?
No, but it’s a shame because it’s a great, classic song.

22 What is your favorite lyric from #30?
Um, the added 9/8 bar(s) on the first page. Haha.

23 What is your favorite lyric from #23?
“The stars that pierce the sky
He left them all behind”
The rest of it is fairly repetitive.

24 Would you recommend #24 to your friends?
Yes, if they like oldies. And they should, because that stuff is better than the crap that’s on most radio stations nowadays. :P

25 Is #2 a good song to dance to?
Alanis isn’t exactly the first thing I’d put on if I wanted to have a dance party.

26 Do you ever hear #16 on the radio?
No, although it’s probably had some airplay when it was first released. I mainly listen to classical radio, though, so I wouldn’t truly know.

27 Is #32 more of a “nighttime” or “daytime” song?
Nighttime. It sounds ominous enough.

28 Does #36 have any special meaning to you?
I grew up listening to The Beatles and the like.

29 Do any of your friends like #31?
Yes, but few of them agree with it. :D

30 Is #25 a fast or slow song?
Metronomically, it isn’t slow, but it definitely leans towards the balladic side of the spectrum.

31 Is #35 a happy or sad song? Maybe sad? maybe happy?
Despite the pyrotechnic imagery suggested by the title, it seems like a happy song, judging from the lyrics.

32 What is one of your favorite lyrics from #9?
Oh man, you don’t want me quoting that song. It’s surprisingly morbid and dark.

33 Is #34 better to listen to alone or with friends?
With friends who have played in the pit for or acted in the show.

34 When did you first hear #27?
Not sure.

35 Name 3 other songs by the artist who did #29:
Don’t Bring Me Down, Do Ya, Mr. Blue Sky

36 Do you know all the words to #6?
I can probably fake it, but I’ve never really bothered to learn them.

37 Does #28 have better lyrics or music?
It’s pretty balanced, i.e. the vocal quality adds to the lyrical content.

38 What album is #10 from?
Hold On Now, Youngster…
