Hey VaultBoy_! I saw that you have a pretty good music taste and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We would love if you checked out this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc_SKuEZm0o ! Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) by commenting the video, and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kjqZUC5PU that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! Love, VIDAR

i'm starting to listen to arcade fire, one of two modern bands you deemed good. not sure how i feel about female vocals in a rock band though

isn't he doing the never ending tour? i remember there was a date in the states (cali) last summer that i could have gone to but i'd have had to make a long ass drive there and spend more than i had. i haven't gone to a dylan concert. if i had cancer i'd make it my dying wish. i mean i'd wish for world peace and all that shit but let's keep it real

by virtue of the situation (i.e. him being bob dylan) i'd n'er forget. but i'd probably either freeze up or make an awkward comment about his clothes/music/influence on me. "you got me into folk music!" "ok, cool" "omg i'm talking to bob dylan" "..."

so much shouting at me. i get enough of that from myself. that sounds crazy indeed. what if i could actually hunt him down? and make him make small talk or routinely dismiss me? sigh, even the latter i'd treasure as a memory to take out occasionally and polish like a jewel once he is dead. if i don't go first, i'll mourn like i never mourned for my grandmother. i'm not that clever/original- my username is from a lou reed song, "underneath the bottle". it's actually a great song, for you, at least, you drunkard

i'd love to ambush him, if the chance of getting tasered were not so high. did you change your tumblr? i can't find it...also lol @ your recent activity.

clearly we are supposed to do it together. i really want to hear "like a rolling stone" live. the unplugged version spoke to me in quite a different way from the original: more resigned, mellower yet more cynical. i actually cried when i heard it the first time. also he needs to sing "i was young when i left home" for us! even though i feel like the probability of that is nil

holy shit america is so big it spans at least 3 time zones. isn't that funny? sometimes i forget that, on average, countries aren't this big. helpful when i travel around europe, following bob dylan on tour. like a deadhead but dylanhead. i swear though, i'll do it if it kills me

lol fuck me for being awake at 4:30 am. anyway, to procrastinate further, i was checking out the strokes on youtube, and the top comments expressed gratitude that we are living in the same generation as the strokes. high praise, yo. they're pretty good when i'm in the mood for lots of noise.

i downloaded his greatest hits and plan to give em a try sometime. what modern music does have lasting appeal for you?

which is also why i love folk music. and i'm getting into some traditional blues, for the same reason. it's making me a bit elitist, maybe...higher standards? i was never meant to listen to popular music anyway >.>

it seems like forever ago (and that he's just about always been a part of my life now) but i too got into dylan on a whim. downloaded his discography one night. the first song i got attached to was "4th time around". i had no idea what parts of his work were acclaimed/more famous, which put me in an interesting, unbiased situation. it took a bit to get used to his voice. it was the words that got me unlike anything before. they're just so human...so untainted with bullshit.

interesting; i got into Dylan first. i never thought i'd like the beatles because my impression of their sound was that of "she loves you" and "love me do", which is not at all indicative of anything rubber soul and beyond....which blew my mind. into the wind. whatever haha
