I disappeared for quite a while.. I've been using my father's laptop. I didn't think I would be without a computer for so long. My dearest Edmund Dantes has left me.. I haven't had him more than a year & my three year warranty won't cover the repair charges. I'm hoping to contact Toshiba and get this sorted out sooner or later (hopefully getting my so called "Count of Monte Cirsto"). Edmund will live again! But, in the mean time.. I've ordered Holden Caulfield. The (soon to me mine) HP dv2800t Artist Edition. It was a small hunk of change, but completely worth it.
I haven't been listening to much music, 'cause I don't want the hassle of running Hester (my ExHDD) on my dad's laptop. Besides, if something happened to it while I had it connected, he'd flip. It's hard enough on him to let me use his Toshiba when mine turned out to me such a lemon. I've been doing the YouTube thing a lot. I can listen to a single track at a time and even watch the Phillip DeFranco Show (among other, silly, irrelevant things). YouTube has led me to rediscover my love of Cake, though (the band, not the food).
Another note; I'm getting my braces on tomorrow. I'm a little old to be starting braces.. but if I was any younger, I probably would have flipped my lid if my Orthodontist put (& left) foreign object into my mouth. I was there girl that had to have her mother with her at all times in a Dentist office.. Even the doctor had to strap me down to take blood. So, now that I've matured past that.. we start on the braces journey.

I've been working on my voice a lot. I get to sing A Little Priest with a friend of mine for our Choir Spring Concert. It'll help me get used to working with someone else while singing.. Since I'm so used to solos or choir numbers. I want to get into music theater… so I need to work my sharing. I tend to "hog the stage" so-to-speak.
I have a friend that's asked me to help her with her ear.. which is funny… I don't know a thing about how to train an ear. I know my ear is trained to the point that I can sing a note after hearing it, but I wouldn't be able to sing a note with just the name… I'll try to help her the best I can, though.. she does sing well.

Well,that's all I have to say. I'll get back into Last.fm when my lovely Holden shows up at my door. I'm so incredibly excited to get him!
