First, make a list of your top-20 artists overall. Then, for each of these artists, add the 8 most similar artists to your list. Delete any duplicates, count up the number of entries on your list and this will give you some idea of how eclectic your listening habits are. A score of 9 represents an extremely unvaried musical taste while a 160 represents an extremely varied one.\

But, my brain just doesn't work right for me to do these types of tests. I can say this though... just being an American who regularly listens to songs sung in any language other than english puts us past the 50% mark for our country. For me I can throw in my different tags like 80s pop, 60s/70s rock, New Wave, Early Rap (Run DMC/Beasties), Punk, Alternative, Electronica and Symphonic. The only thing that would really push me over the top would be country... and I just can't do it dude. Although, I don't have a problem with Johnny Cash... Now THAT is out there.

Have you ever seen those AEP things on some people's profiles? Well, I've gotten one for myself. It's a number between -20 and 5 that determines how diverse one's tastes are. So the closer one's AEP is to 5, the more diverse one's musical tastes are. Here's the site where you can get yours calculated and here's the site as to how AEP is calculated
