I have a lot of albums in mind but I haven't put together a collage or anything yet. Its way too hard to make like a top 50 or whatever.. so I'm just going to put on stuff that I enjoyed. No ranking

Nice taste, you should check out Botanist - VI: Flora. AOTY contender, experimental bm made mostly with a hammered dulcimer, a little shoegazy and uplifting

Aw sweet, I've been listening to a lot of ambient and drone lately, been collecting more cassettes. I buy a few vinyls here and there but mostly cassettes now.

Sam, if you haven't Listened to Shiny Eyed Babies by Bent Knee, you have absolutely got to, some of the best avant garde!! Also you should listen to Jonathan Boulet, some really good stuff by him, I'd recommend his song A Community Service announcement first but I really like We Keep the Beat, Found The Sound, See the Need, Start the Heart. Its an overall great album~

Yeah the elbows to the jaw kind of take away from the experience xD I think it could be the area though, I saw Mogwai live a month or two ago and a pit broke out during the crescendo portion of Batcat. It was gross

yeah it got old quick, that sounds pretty pleasant, it seems every town has a sort of metal scene, it's just a shame over in the states it's filled with slam dancing

I can imagine it being worth the trek though. That's good you at least have a local scene that's halfway decent to keep yourself occupied with. Around here it's usually pop-punk or shit-tastic post-hardcore.

nice, it sound like it'll be good, especially if it's a good price. I feel you on only going to a few major shows a year. they're exhausting

nah i haven't seen them yet. that sounds like a good show though, you're lucky festivals are usually on the other coast for me, either that or they're super expensive and corporate. sheeit i'm checking it looks like the closest they're coming to me is ohio, should've been on my shit earlier
