There are moments in life where you feel like you are part of a movie and your director has put music in your player that was composed for this moment.
Some time ago I used to travel to college 2 hours each way - and since class started at 8, I had to take a very early train. The way from home to the train station took me through a street with broad pavement, but almost no pedestrians, so at roughly 6 in the morning there was no one except of me. At each side of the road there were tall buildings, hotels, office towers with fancy glass surfaces….
I loved to walk past there in winter mornings when it was still dark, the neon lights were on and a few cars were passing. The most beautiful moments were when it was rainy, because then the mirroring surfaces distorted the neon lights even more. I always felt like the main character in one of those 80s movies, when he or she is walking through night city streets in cities that never sleep, and he or she is reflecting on loneliness or some important thing that happened in the scene before.
The ideal song for those moments is 郭富城s "沒有你的愛" to me. Somehow with this song the magic of the moment always works, and even when I'm elsewhere (I moved closer to college now) I can recapture the beauty of those moments when I close my eyes and listen to the song…
