I shall raise a glass to your epic-ness. Bullet is a great band. Their new CD is also great work. And their old CD is all great work, definitely their best. Very metal.

It still says 'Medium'. You scared me there, for a bit. But if it dropped, it was because I've been listening to a lot of deathcore and a fair bit of rap with metal thrown in for good measure. While you're all metal all the time. ;)

I agree about 'Surrounded by Night'. It's an amazing song. Caught myself singing it more than once today which is a testament to the awesome, since I don't sing. :)

Except 'Severe Emotional Distress' is a terrible song. I misjudged them based on this song in the beginning. Huge mistake. 'Timeless Winter' is awesome, hell- the rest of that CD is awesome.

A Why thank you Panda or a I'll look right into those artists, Chris, thanks or a OMG you're so awesome, I'm voting you for Prime Minister even though you don't live in Canada, Chris would've sufficed, really.

Aww.. my little Spartz is growing up. The classics like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Louis Armstrong are Pop Standards, standards. If you're looking for more modernized Jazz, look no further than Diana Krall and the Dave Matthews Band's older work. Lastly, Carlos Santana is your one stop shop for latin swing. ;)

hey. i dunno if you'll like them, but there's Electro Quarterstaff. They're instrumental progressive metal. You might also wanna check out arcturus. They're like avant-garde or something but they're pretty awesome. Riverside's Second Life Syndrome album is pretty good. It's closer to porcupine tree than dt tho.

Don't forget to let me know what you think, because there's many many more where those come from.

Good Sir Spartz. I suggest... Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, and Light This City. You should check out the latest albums for all those artists, as their earlier work is predominately old-school death, what we would call pre-modern thrash metal these days. Light This City and Arch Enemy are female fronted death metal bands, so they're a couple of my favorites. :)

Can't say I didn't try. My problem is; when someone says 'metal' my mind goes 'extreme metal' - ie Doom/Death/Black and various subgenres. Progressive rock has it's ups; I just have to be in the right mood for it. Like.. Dream Theater. Great band, love their work. But you'll only catch me listening to them on occasion. Chris

Circus Maximus makes me a sad panda. :( Maybe I'm not in the Prog Metal frame of mind; or maybe I've been spoiled with Gothenburg metal; but I just can't feel the 'umph' in their music. It's so hollow. :(
