1. What are you listening to right now?
'Knights', by Minus the Bear, on the new album Planet of Ice.

2. What song makes you sad?
'Ten' by Jimmy Eat World gets me every time.

3. What is the most annoying song in the world?
I could give you a huge huge list for that. Anything by Fergie, NSync, Britney Spears, PARIS HILTON, P. Diddy, etc etc. "This Is Why I'm Hot." "Macarena." "Ima Buy you A DRAAANK." Urg. Listening to that kind of music makes me stabby.

4. Your all-time favourite band?
Errrr. That's a three way tie. I know, I know, it's a cop-out of the question, but I just can't bring myself to choose between them. That's like saying "Who's your favorite child?" But anyway, I'm gonna have to go with either Circa Survive, The Stills, or Minus the Bear.

5. Your newly discovered band is?
Sigur Ros. They're Icelandic, I guess/think? They make mostly instrumental music, their genre is Post-Rock, their songs are quite long, and sometimes they sing in an invented language. Yep, pretty out there.

6. Best female voice?
Mariah Carey. BAHAHAH just kidding folks, I haven't gone quite that insane yet. Maybe Feist?

7. Best male voice?
Anthony Green, probably.

8. Music type you find yourself listening to most?
Indie, Alternative, Rock, Punk, Post-Rock, Experimental. Whatever you wanna call it.

9. What do you listen to to hype you up?
Oh I dunno. Minus the Bear in Menos el Oso era usually does the trick, but sometimes Ima Robot or The Faint. Something with a good beat and some attitude.

10. What do you listen to when you want to calm down?
Sound Tribe Sector 9, or like, Kings of Convenience. Something I can drift away to.

11. Last gig/concert you went to?
Minus the bear in Santa Cruz, WOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!! it was friggin' fantastic, you don't know what you missed.

12. Band you find yourself listening to the most right now?
Circa Survive. When I got the new album I was obsessed, and my last.fm numbers shot up.

13. Most hated band?
This isn't my most hated, but Architecture in Helsinki is kinda sucktacular. I don't understand why they're so popular.

14. Song that makes you think?
'Easy/Lucky/Free' by Bright Eyes.

15. Band that you think the world should love as much as you do?
Oh I dunno. I kinda wish everyone listened to Sound Trib Sector 9. They're so peaceful, but their music rocks so hard. Their live shows are freakin' amazing (or so I've heard - I've never been, but I've seen and heard some of it), their music belongs to no one genre, every song is different… just all-around fantastic. But the only people who know about 'em are stoners. Meh.

16. Coolest music video?
I dunno, I don't really watch music videos. MTV doesn't show the bands I wanna see, so what's the point, really… I will say Mute Math's video for 'Typical' was really well done and creative.

17. Music video with the most babe watch?
Well, those would probably be the rap videos, and I choose not to partake of those.

18. What do you play/would you play in the bedroom to spice things up?
I don't know. Songs that I think are 'sexy' don't seem to be 'sexy' to anyone except me. One day I'm gonna be making out with some girl on my bed, and things will start to heat up, and 'Figures' by The Whitest Boy Alive will come on… then she'll stop and give me the strangest look.

19. Can you play a musical instrument?
I used to play the viola. (a stringed instrument you play on your neck, much like a violin) I have a guitar and a bass guitar, though, I never really play them. I should, I should.

Korn, September 2004.

Goddamn, I wish.

Goddamn, I wish.

28. Do you wish yourself that you were a musician?
Uh, see above. Is it just me or are questions simply disappearing? Where's 21, 24-27? They deserve a chance too.

Um, like, all chick band, with a drummer, and guitarist, etc? None.

Um, well is it radio or Cd or what? On the radio I think it was 'Icky Thump' by The White Stripes, on a CD…. gee, I don't think I listen to CD's anymore, it's all here on my computer.

32. What do you think of classical music?
Eh. It's nice. Not for me. Believe me, I used to play it in school, so I've heard my fair share. Not for me.

33. What do you think of country music?
Man, talk about emo people with terrible voices… Seriously, though, I think it's kinda uninspired and boring, not really a creative breeding ground for interesting music.

34. What do you think of death metal?
I used to be mad into it… Mudvayne, Black Dahlia Murder, Kittie… I was an angry kid, and that music is for angry kids.

35. Last BIG band that you saw live?
Before Minus the Bear, was The Shins.

Sigur Ros is about it.

Mariah Carey. Mandy Moore. (Hey, you didn't say they had to be talented) Or maybe Feist, she's pretty hot.

Some dude stole my wallet at Projekt Revolution years ago.

40. Funny concert moment?
Projekt Revolution again. Linkin Park was on stage, and the band started playing a song, but they stopped abruptly for some reason, and left Chester screaming into the empty air, and he said "Aw, you fuckin' faggots." Then he realized that there was a bunch of people watching him, and he said "Now, wait a minute, alright? I was joking, I don't wanna get a bunch of hate mail tomorrow saying 'YOU SAID FAGGOT!'"

When The Shins wouldn't do a second encore?

42. Best local act you can think of?
I dunno, I'm not really all into the local scene. Apparently there's a band called Paloalto, I've never heard their music, but there's a town by here called Palo Alto, so I'm assuming they're from there. And they're popular, I guess, so there ya go.

43. If you were a musical instrument, what would you be?
Feist's harmonica (if she plays one) so I could be on her lips every day.

Not really. I have had to resort to it when my friends iPods aren't working or something.

Self obsessiveness, huge ego, shows up intoxicated to shows, lead singer thinks he better than the rest of the band…

My mom listens to, like, Joni Mitchell and Maddona and Scissor Sisters. My dad listens to everyting you could possibly imagine, I shit you not. He's amassed such a huge music collection, his iTunes library puts my own to shame.

'Clumsy Card House' by Blue October.

Every chance I get.

They're cool?

Uh, if I had to pick one, I guess Indie, but even that is a huge broad genre, and any real Indie kid would probably spit on me.

Every single time. Their boring if I don't.

Whatever's in my head at that particular moment. Usually something I can actually sing without my family banging on the door telling me to shut up.

Be one, without a doubt.

66. How important is your partner's taste in music to you?
It's pretty important, I've realized. It's not a huge factor in our relationship, but if she's not open to bands I want to introduce to her, or if her musical taste is on the complete opposite end, it's possible that I will lose interest. I don't really know how to justify that, I just like music, a lot.

67. Hanson moves in next door to you, do you go introduce yourself, or do you arrange to beat them up?
I'd go over there, knock on the door, laugh in their face when they answer, then leave. Violence is bad, mmkay?
