Ooo Melodys Echo Chamber have been recommended to me before and I've never quite got round to listening, really glad I have reminds me of Warpaint who I adore. I'm going to write to the publishers right away, this could be my chance to make my millions! x

We are super. And it is indeed my real name, somebody once told me I sounded like a 1940s spy which delighted me. Wonderful musical taste there x

Yeah, I guess being super-ecletic is good. Your username is cool, but nothing comparable to TheMuffinMan. Just the thought of 'girl, you thought he was a man, but he only was a muffin!' brings a smile to my face.

Hmm, I think I gotta listen to some Beatles albums I haven't heard yet before anything else, but don't worry, I'm only waiting for the right moment to check Neil Young's sound. Will try to listen to the others sometime. As for TABB, well, if you don't like this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSuoW8MTbZY ), then I "allow" you to give up. =p

Oh, and 'Highly Sensitive' is the "rockiest" of the album (Pitanga). She definately stripped down her sound a bit for this one, they feel more relaxed now, and a bit less like 'trying to prove something', you know?

Goddamn it, Tom. Just listen to the whole 'At Fillmore East' album. =p As for Mallu, did you check 'Youhuhu' and 'Sambinha Bom'? I think they're my favourites so far.

Oh, and the name of Mallu's new album is 'Pitanga', which is a small kind of fruit that I never liked. =p It doesn't sound as similar Bringing It All Back Home as her first two, but I surely enjoyed it.

Man, The Allman Brothers Band has got Duane, one of my favourites guitar players, and is one of the best blues rock band of all-time. You definately should check them out (make sure you listen to their At Fillmore East album).

Well, I think I'm better than last time we talked, thank you. What about you? Unfortunately I can't recommend another cute brazilian girl like Mallu (did you listen to her third album?), but I recommend The Allman Brothers Band, especially when Duane was still alive. That will be all. And I shall try to listen to Neil Young for the start this month.

Hey, man. Long time no talk. Have you discovered anything worth sharing recently?

Thanks. She surprised me too, I didn't know she was that good on her hype days. Maybe because I didn't know Bob Dylan by then. And yeah, do get them. The links to both 'Live At The Fillmore' and 'Lotus' are on TT's Audio Request Thread. Santana at his best there.

Oh, that was unexpected. Unfortunately, I don't know any brazilian band that sounds like Santana. I'll tell you if I eventually find one, though. I obviously know CSS, but I'm not a big fan. I prefer the classics like Chico Buarque and Tom Jobim or musicians from my state (Pernambuco) like Chico Science and Alceu Valença. But don't worry, I'm working on a research and I'll send you a PM with a couple of songs later.

Nice, but I warn you that I'm not an expert. What kind of music do you want exactly? Rock, bossa nova, samba ... ?

I saw in the graphic that you posted on TT that you hear a bit of brazilian music. I checked it and I saw ... Fresno. Sigh. Would you like to have some real suggestions?

True. Fancy lending a hand in creating a general punk thread on TT, Casper's comment has pissed me right off! Avril, Punk?!?

Fair-o. I have been listening to Editors a lot recently, even more than normal. Dude, you cannot judge them on just a couple of listens, I remember not liking them that much when I first heard them so I can't have you not liking them! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlFpCdfEz08 and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBhWAvsLH6A are the two songs you MUST listen to. My favourites by them.

Yeah, they are not exactly the same. That is not what I meant. In fact, apart from the voice, Interpol is very different. White Lies are kind of similar, but not as good. Also try Death by White Lies, that's my favourite by them. Yeah, music is totally subjective, but Editors are objectively amazing :D

I agree, The Dead Weather is the best Jack White-band :P Alison Mosshart (from the Kills) is the lead vocalist..

Accepted :) Yeah, Clapton and Jimi play faster - but Led Zep is just really good as a band. Never get tired of them, and I listen to that band everyday xD
