I suppose when I try tags created by other people I find I use the the 'ban' button a lot -but if I'm in the mood that's fine. I'm surprised though that tags aren't promoted more by independent musicians. I quite like it if I find an interesting tag with just a few dozen tracks on it*. silverlages Christmas album was interesting too. I did suggest/wonder to him that for Christmas2011 he could get the musicians he's got in tow to tag their new tracks with a common tag in maybe Oct/Nov. - - - *Realising that there were a couple of your tracks not in my library I found the tag 'weird-folk' played mister salmon plus some other stuff I find interesting.

;-) I'm trying to sit back and not worry too much about losing the subscriber features. I suppose lastfm gets hoisted by it's own petard because staff DO seem to get more involved in dialogue than other sites I've looked at. - - - I still manage to use the tags to force lastfm to play new & little heard tracks so your music tends only to come up if I let lastfm 'play my library'. - - - There is so much new stuff to listen to!!

Well, I just tagged your fabulous album. One way to get some coverage would be to get involved with the Christmas album we are working on. I have extended the submission deadline to this Friday or Saturdayish the 11th. Let me know if you are interested. http://www.last.fm/group/under+100+listeners/forum/131347/_/657100

My pleasure. Your music is, if you'll pardon such a trite term, very evocative and rewards repeated listening. Thanks for making it.

Sorry to hear of the delay in your work. I'll have to try some more Gavin Bryers tracks. I'd forgotten he might have done more than the 'Tramp with Orchestra'.

Are you back in the land of the listening now then?

If you are writing up a PhD thesis I'll try not to distract you further! "...I can't indulge in anything too pleasurable, including listening to music." Sounds like a lot of pressure but well done for staying so focused. [I should probably adopt the same technique when it comes to filing my VAT return...]. I do find your music interesting & I hope you can enjoy making more when the PhD is out of the way. If you notice me listening less to your tracks over the next few weeks don't take it personally -I try to listen to my 'new to me' tagged tracks a couple of times a week till they go into the general mix. There is an awful lot of stuff to discover on LFM! Interesting to hear you meeting/working with Joanna MacGregor. She must be a fascinating person if her music is anything to go by. I've only heard of her & her music recently. Thanks for reading this -now back to work!

Straight after Clouds Rise, Open Skies yesterday lastfm gave me http://www.last.fm/music/Tom+%27Ketchfish%27+Inglis/_/Have+to+Talk+About+It+When+You+Get+Home which I thought went together rather well. -Do you get the chance to listen to ANY tracks?
