  • Audioscrobbler Vs. Last.FM

    Ott 9 2005, 10:32

I liked Audioscrobbler a lot and when i saw they were changing it i wasn't too impressed. When i got to have a play it was slow and weird, it didn't seem right. The old way was simple to use Last.fm seemed overly complicated.

But i persevered and am loving it more and more, there's lots of little bits tucked away that i didn't notice before. It's a mini treasure trove of goodies awaiting to be discovered and works seamlessly on my imac w/ iTunes and as a result i've not played a single CD for months. I just rip them to iTunes and play them and watch them play counts rise \0/ I think i'm becoming a stat junkie.

Today i took the step to give thanks for the peeps behind Last.fm and became a subscriber. I'm still finding bits and bobs on this site despite coming here everyday. I've also started to use the radio player, something i didn't think i would taking into account the thousands of songs i have in iTunes but it really is a nifty piece of kit, even more so to subscribers. I've discovered some great new tunes. It would be great though if you could specify what tune you'd like to listen too (maybe you can and i've yet to find it) as there's been times some people have raved about a particular song and it'd be nice to acces it straight away.

This has become a great place to hang out and just observe what people are listening too, what trends are flowing and who has some shockingly poor taste in music :-o

    Last.FM roxxor <3 \m/ etc etc
  • Nanoo Nanoo

    Set 11 2005, 21:35

How cool is the iPod Nano?

Couldn't help but order one as soon as i saw them go up on the Apple site on Wed night, they shipped it Thur and i got it Fri. Top service from Apple and what a feat of technological greatness this little gizmo is.

I went for a 2gb Black version as i'm not too fussed about taking loads of tunes with me. It's so dinky and well made. Colour screen, games, calander, contacts and photos to boot.

Best gadget this year and best iPod bar none.
  • Not a huge Staind fan ...

    Ago 24 2005, 20:34

... but im liking their new album Chapter V

Quite melodic in places. "Right Here, Paper Jesus, Schizophrenic Conversations" and "Please" being my stand out tracks.

    Good job those men!.

Ooh look my first journal entry.
