Rock'n'roll! Jorå för fan! Det minns jag - du har grym smak, min vän! Jag svär på att din flickvän är snyggare än jag på den bilden - och sannolikt även i verkligheten... he he! Fred och kärlek!

Bonham can't be better than Moon, he can't be even a half of Moon. You're saying that he's generally playing the guitar and the bass or this is happening only in BBE? I didn't know that he's playing more than the drums, some brass instruments and, of course, his vocals.

Those persons considering Bonham a better drummer than Moon really piss me off :) You should see this: http://www.musicradar.com/news/drums/50-greatest-drummers-of-all-time-part-2-225815/23#content :\

John's bass is awesome on The Real Me and The Punk And The Godfather (and pretty much else on Quad), I love listening to the bass "layer" in these tracks. I know what you're saying about the rhythm guitar section, but ehen you have only one guitar player in the band is pretty hard to manage by yourself. Jimmy Page is a true guitar player, as much as I love Pete I could easily say that Jimmy is better, don't know. But that's only in handling the guitar, Pete has 10 times his charisma and 20 times his songwriting (he's a genius like Dylan/Lennon/McCartney), not to mention his experiments with synths and other instruments (as we've already talked about). I don't know if Page is overrated, but LZ surely is (alongside with Pink Floyd, probably), considering the fact that LZ are embracing more success nowadays than the band they were inspired from - The Who :\

on songwriting). In fact, Roger is the most replaceable member of the band, even his voice is one of the best in rock&roll music (if not the best, with that lion-style). I should see this movie, I put it on my list :P

I know Pete was doing his stuff with the synths but didn't know what was the point in Baba because it has guitar, too (thought it was playing by someone else). Keith is without doubt the best drummer ever and John is, in my oppinion the best bass player. Having the best drummer is ok, also having the best bass player, but having the best drummer in the world with the best bass player in THE SAME band is really awesome. As you've said, the rhythm section is incredible and I think it won't be beaten by any in the next, let's say, 100 years. Still, even Pete is sometimes surpassed by the techniques of other guitar players (let's say Clapton or Jimmy Page), he's the mastermind of The Who. Without him, there wouldn't have been The Who (probably that's the greatest flaw of the band that, comparing to The Beatles for example who has Lennon/McCartney, Harrison and even Ringo, The Who is based almost entirely on Pete's songwriting - John is somehow ok, but Roger and Keith are a disaster

No, I haven't (I must also see Quad & Tommy :\ ). I like it because it has more unreleased stuff, and all live material is faster (where faster means better) even that on Live At Leeds - I Can't Explain & I Can See For Miles are the best. At first, I didn't like the live of Baba, but now I feel it very interesting and fresh (btw, do you manage to know who's playing that synth in Baba?). In the last days I feel atracted to Keith's drumming in I Can See For Miles (I even ignore the rest of the melody) which is perfect.

Speaking of compilations, The Kids Are Alright (album) is better than I thought.

I found can't explain on The Who Sings My Generation with bonus tracks. I guess that Then & Now is a compilation, haven't listened to it :D But yes, no sign of Young Man Blues, only live versions....Thanks btw ;))

I totally agree, Quadrophenia is their best album, and one of the 5 albums of all time, even not the best. Who's next is good, even though 4-5 tracks are amongst their best (Baba, Wont get fooled, Behind blue eyes), I still prefer Quad over this one. And yes, Live At Leeds is without doubt the best live album ever. In my oppinion Who By The Numbers is weaker than Quan, Live@Leed, Who's Next, Tommy, The Who Sell Out, and My Generation. Btw, do you manage to know an album with a NON-LIVE version of Young Man Blues and/or I Can't Explain ?

You kinda overrated that The Who By Numbers, I really think it's not their best. And on the other side, where are Who's Next and Live At Leeds? :-s
