Your comment on A Sort of Homecoming was spot on! I actually wish My Bloody Valentine had songs that sounded like it.

I was actually meaning the fact that you got to experience that up close and personal.

Wow, what was Daniel Johnston like when you met him?

P.S. I've always really wanted to see Daniel Johnston in the flesh too.

The Flaming Lips live must have been absolutely remarkable.

I'm so sorry about tonight, I feel absolutely terrible having to cut our conversations short like that... but as always, hearing from you absolutely made my night! Thanks man.

I think it'd be hard for me to not like anything that James Mercer ever does. So I can't really help you out with that one.

step backwards? well do you like Wincing The Night Away more than the previous two? because I really like how different Wincing is compared to the others. And that same production and clean sound is apparent on the new album as well, so I wont have any problems liking it right off the bat.

I've listened to it 22 times since it came out yesterday. So yeah, I quite like it a lot.

Fuck yeah ATCQ. They take hip-hop to a whole new dimension...

Oh yeah, I can totally understand that. To be honest, I actually feel the same way most of the time. I like Spiderland but can't say I really *get* it... though I like the first song a lot, and absolutely love the last song. It blows my mind every time I hear it and I think most of my respect for Slint is due to that song. Sadly that's the only one I can really connect with... sometimes I can listen to the whole album and enjoy it, but most of the time I can't really get into it and end up just listening to that last song. Glad to hear you tried them, though!

I really really enjoyed it. The back-and-forth vocal style is super cool and I love the guitar riffs and drumming. I feel as though I have to listen to it a few more times to fully form an opinion, but I'll be sure to let you know! And thanks again for this awesome recommendation!

Don't apologize! I love getting shouts. :) And hell yeah, that would be perhaps the best addition ever! I'm a huge fan of Kim Gordon (as you can probably tell). It's a shame that she and Thurston split up; I wonder what will become of Sonic Youth? She needs to team up with Carrie ASAP.

Ahhh, cool. I can definitely see myself getting the rest of their discography soon. I know it must be hard to relate to their lyrics. I myself, as a 21-year-old woman, can strongly relate to some of the lyrics. And as a feminist, I really admire the whole riot grrrl style. Carrie Brownstein is a badass.

Sonic Youth resemblance? Oh my god, I'm all over that right now!! Thanks again, man. I really appreciate it. :)

Wild Flag is amazing. Carrie Brownstein is one hell of a woman (I looked her up and did a little research). Sleater-Kinney is also amazing. Thank you so much for helping me to discover great music!

stuff that I don't care to list on my "seen live" list I usually just don't post. Like, there are a ton of opening bands that I could have listed and some others here and there that I just don't list because I don't listen to them.
