Ah, late reply sorry! I haven't been on last.fm much these past couple of months :s Yay, just one more exam - that's great! When are you graduating? Aw that's too bad, Currents really is amazing. I should get into the xx, everyone loves them, ha. What's their sound like? Ack, you went to see Anberlin?! How was it??

Yep, busy with school. Really, really busy. Whew. Late reply again - apologies! Well, I'm not really into Tegan & Sara so I can't help you out here. Did you end up going to see them? By the way, have you heard of Now, Now? Apparently they're something like T&S... from the little that I've heard of their music, they're really good. I was pretty into Lydia a couple of years ago, yeah! Will definitely check out the new album - I didn't even know they had one out this year! And speaking of releases, have you heard Currents - the new Eisley album - yet? It is INCREDIBLE.

Hey, sorry about the super late reply, the last few months have been really insane. ._. I've never heard of Laneway, are they good? Also, after thinking about what you've said, I'd love to listen to more Lucia - do you have any more recommendations by her? :D I used to listen to a bit of Tegan & Sara a long time ago, but not now. Do you like them?

That's definitely one way of looking at it, I guess! And a lot more positive than the whole growing-up-and-things-aren't-the-same-anymore outlook. But I'm rambling about stuff, sorry. Okay, thank you! I shall start on Bedroom first and then work my way to The North. Also, "Take Me To The Riot" - noted! Thank you for the song rec as well - the piano and her voice is really, really pretty... I would listen to her, but I'm not used to listening to songs in different languages/languages I don't understand :/ I have absolutely no idea if you'll like The Honey Trees, but here's one of their songs, "To Be With You" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C70SnkZETc0). I've also just discovered Kings Of Convenience - have you heard of them? I was actually in Singapore over the weekend, and I listened to their albums the whole 15 hours of the journey to and from. "I'd Rather Dance With You" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OczRpuGKTfY) is catchy in a nice, understated way.

I did have a good holiday, actually! Which is surprising because the older you get, the less wonderful these things usually become. How about you? Whaaaaaat, so lucky. When in February will they be performing? YES, I really love SYOF as well, especially "Reunion" (to name one favourite song). But which would be your second favourite? In Our Bedroom After The War or The North? I'm trying to figure out which album to listen to next. Wow, Korean-indie sounds... interesting. Certainly never heard of those two words together! As for me, hm. Nothing very new, actually - I've been listening to a lot of The Honey Trees. Have you heard of them?

Ahh this is so late. Sorry sorry sorry. I haven't been on last.fm for awhile /: Thanks for the kind words about my art, by the way! So have you been listening to any good music lately? I've been listening a bit more to Stars and I was wondering - which is your favourite album by them?

Well, yes and no - Christie is the Eisley members' younger sister (and the bassist's cousin, since he's not directly in the family). But yep, she definitely has that signature shimmery DuPree voice, and I'm glad that Anberlin got her to guest vocal instead of Sherri or Stacy! You used to listen to Eisley? :o Yeah, I don't blame you for losing track of them after The Valley... that album was depressing. That Cicada song was beautiful - soft and delicate and full of strings. Are all instrumentals counted as post-rock? Whoo, journalism, fun stuff. And just out of curiosity - have you gone for NS yet?

So what do you do, studying for Mass Comm? Does it have anything to do with... I don't know, marketing perhaps? Well, you do just have just one final year and then you'll be free to work, so jiayou!

Argh, I am so sorry for the late reply. I'm practically swamped with assignments over here... On the topic of Anberlin, I really, really love "God, Drugs, & Sex" (particularly because Christie DuPree's featured on it and her vocals are crystalline as per usual). "(Fin)*" is another amazing album closer, though "Dance, Dance Christa Paffgen" is my favourite album closer. And - regarding post-rock - have you heard of Hammock? They've got such beautiful albums! "Ten Thousand Years Won't Save Your Life" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBkcQGXI1Q8) is heaven transcended. But business isn't all numbers! I am so horrible at them, so I don't think I could do business if it were all maths. I'm technically in college, second year. Also, I might have to continue this comment later 'cause I'm leaving college now... hold on a tick.

Okay then, I will most definitely check out Cities and Vital - which are your favourite songs from on those albums? Just curious. Ah, I know what you mean about the feeling of learning nothing even though you've been at it for the longest time. I'm studying business and have actually started to get into it after about a year of just stuffing information into my head for exams and assignments and emptying it out later... but if you could do anything you wanted and not Mass Comm, what would you choose? Did you want to do Mass Comm in the first place? (Feel free to tell me it's not my business if you'd rather not answer. I'm just interested that there're people like me in the world, haha.)

Oh, you're in uni? What do you study? Ahhh yes, now I'm beginning to understand all these genres - I've never exactly put labels on the music I listen to before, so it's hard to identify which genres I'm actually into! I shall have to check out more of The Album Leaf [: Yeah, Owl City's really an acquired taste... it's a fine line between twee and ridiculously, contagiously happy (but I'll go with the latter). I wish I could call myself an Anberlin fan! I haven't earned it yet because I've only ever really listened to Never Take Friendship Personal and I want to savour every album, so I've been, ahem, savouring this one for nearly half a year, haha. At any rate I had no idea they even had a new album out! I've heard they're delving more into electronic, like adding it to their sound... that true?

It's okay, I know what you mean - I'm late in replying this too >.< The past few weeks have been full of exams and I just fell sick, hooray. Port Blue was one of Adam Young's old projects, pretty much all instrumental (here's one of them, if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJhfEIyd6jA). That's really a shame - what's not to get about post rock? I think it's awesome and that people should spend more time learning to appreciate it... but that's just me, haha! Thank you for The Album Leaf recommendation! Are they considered lo-fi as well?

Yay, I'm glad you liked them! Definitely, look up Katie's newest album - she really is a genius at little orchestra-like touches in her songs. I mean, if you're in to that of course XD (And, well, in regards to Vienna Teng, who can really say no to sad songs? Especially ones that are so wonderfully written?) Oooh excellent, long songs are real treats, especially when done right. Do you recommend Explosions In The Sky too? (Or just the song? 'Cause the band keeps popping up all the time and I want to know if their discography's good.) Sounds like post-rock's always been my thing then! I used to listen to a lot of those, especially Port Blue, when I was fifteen.

Oh, I forgot to give you individual song recommendations - whoops. House Of Heroes is just the tiniest bit like Anberlin, just much grittier. I really love In The Valley Of The Dying Sun - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq1CDEXPqaw - it's not their typical style but it's hugely danceable and thought-provoking. Out My Way is brilliant too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-Jm0OvtxCM. As for Vienna Teng... um. Recessional (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGKicxfFtsw) is good if you're just getting into her! She's basically writing from a guy's point of view, about a love song in reverse. Yeah, I've heard of that Andrew Belle and Katie Herzig song! It truly is amazing! Do you listen to Katie? (Midnight Serenade is genius.) And whooaaaa Calendar Girl is just beautiful! It's incredibly chill - I could definitely wind down to this after a long day. I think I need to add Stars to my library! Oh dear, I have no idea what post rock means - have my recommendations been very out-of-line? D:

Aw man, I'm jealous! What would I have given to have been there... Wow. The Lulls In Traffic is definitely weird territory for Aaron, but just - his VOICE. Wow. It's so beautiful and makes me think of Copeland no matter what so I miss them even more. What's the deal with disbanding? Even MAE's not together anymore :/ Recommendations! Let's see... well, if you liked the Narrative for their descriptive, well thought-out lyrics and piano, you'll definitely like Vienna Teng. Her piano skills are AMAZING and each of her songs tell stories - she's such a versatile musician! And also, I've been listening to so much House Of Heroes lately, haha. They're more on the side of, say, Relient K (which I highly recommend as well), pretty rock and roll. Oh, and speaking of Copeland! The Laurensons and Mindy White are in States together... but I'm sure you know about it because you listen to both Copeland and Lydia. Do you have anything to recommend me? :D One can never have enough good music.
