I FINALLY got this!!

Broadening my horizons, good album. Meant to get this six or seven years ago but never got round to it. Always disliked drum & bass but this band makes good tunes out of it.

The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike
Good background music. Think they have a new one out now?

Not too bad, I think How We Operate is better but I'll give it some time.

Nirvana - In Utero
Some good songs on there but on the whole prefer Nevermind. Heart-Shaped Box is a classic.

PJ Harvey - Uh Huh Her
Good album.

The Postal Service - Give Up
Very good, highly recommended!

Thom Yorke - The Eraser
This one is a bit of a grower, apart from the title track I didn't get into it until after a few listens - then it took off. You should get this.

This is for my own benefit but comments are welcome. See also my Wanted list. I hope to constantly update each list.

I am aware that personal stories about relationships with artists is more interesting, but this is just a list, sorry :-)

One thing about having been on last.fm for a while is that with your charts, the stuff you listened to early on takes a while to get overtaken by the stuff you prefer to listen to now.

Hence why my 2005 addictions to bands such as Coldplay and Keane, I don't listen to either of them very much now (played 'em too much and got bored), are taking some time to work through the system.

I guess as you discover new stuff it doesn't help the lists either. My weekly number of plays is the same as it ever…

The town where I live (Bridport) has a street market every week. In this market there is the ubiquitous stall selling CDs and VHS videos. Naturally I assumed it would be like any other market stall I've seen everywhere else, just selling complete tat, cast-offs nobody wants any more. Old kids shows and 80s movies I've never heard of with people with big hair.

Not so!

It is mostly DVDs, with several CDs and several VHS tapes. Naturally I ignored the VHS section and spent a great deal of time looking at the rest. Most of the CDs were shit…

Track 6000*: Pierrot the Clown
I bought Meds the other day and this track was scrobbled on my first listen through of the album, late the other night. Honestly from memory I have no idea which track this is, its way too early for me to form an opinion on either the track or the album. It always takes me two or three listens to get into an album, unless it is absolutely awesome. I do remember being a little underwhelmed compared to their previous body of work. I'll give it more time. I liked Drag and Song to Say…
