    you missed your chance! he played manchester a few months back... won't be around for a while now i guess. i want to see him live next time as well, though. btw check out a guy called 'weirdcore' on vimeo - he does all of aphex's live visuals and his video edits of aphex's tours are far better than any shaky-cam shit you'll find on youtube.

    haha last minute essayism? i rallied out an 8,000 word dissertation to aphex twin's selected ambient works the other week... was like being 14 again, playing call of duty. made those words fly by! and yeah, haha, im a bit snobby about uk electronic/bass music nowadays... got to have some quality control since the indie faggot bandwagon blew a tire, with everyone onboard whoring onto the electronic scene. even the word 'dubstep' gives me a headache now

    that's the whole point of the boiler room man! super tight atmosphere, feels like a house party. everyone knows everyone in the room and the mc just tops it off. people always complain to me about ASBO mc'ing over the mixes... but to be fair there's 100 other places you can get generic mixes from. boiler room is all about creating an event and an atmosphere. you should try and get an invite, probably one of the best electronic nights i've ever been to

    yo man! it's going good, cheers! haha good stuff, i haven't listened to anything of that sort for quite a while... but have you checked out classics like Glassjaw? i'll buzz my friends at home, they're mad for stuff like that all the time. for screamy stuff i actually like european stuff better than anything-- Daitro, Raein, La Quiete etc. you may like!

    yeah, the greyscale ones are a nice middle-ground between proper sunglasses and prescription specs, so you don't feel like an idiot for wearing them when it's anything but beamingly sunny and tropical outside. screw paying the extra dosh for prescription, to be honest, just wear contact lenses underneath!
